i am short of adjectives to describe the melliflous music i.e. rang de basanthi
Ar rehman proves for the umpteenth time that he is capable of creating genuinely different music with his concotion of middle eastern and techno pop cocktail kudos to him for delivering such an august hit..
Wow!! So many ppl saying Rahman is overrated and so on. May be thats why "Aashique Banaya Aapne" (yeeek) is chart topper... And Anu Mailk is among the greats of this generation with his stolen tunes. [Though I loved Border and Refugee, hope these were originals]
All I can say is that I grew up with the music of Roja, Takshak, Rangeela, Taal, Dil Se, Lagaan, Swades and Yuva to name and loved it all!
Don't care whether this album becomes a chart buster or not. But I liked the simplicity and soulfulness of the songs.. Loved "Rang De Basanti" completely...
It has been quite a while since listening to such nice and meaningful poetry. The music as always, is top notch. Fully marks to both Joshi and Rahman!!! Thanks!
