SHIKHAR album is family album

The album opens with a dhamaal number FITNA DIL which is a foot tapping number. Going by the present trend this peppy number appears again in a remixed version in the album. The word fitna means temptation, trial, enchantment. The term fitna most often is used to describe civil war in the sense of temptation between man's wealth and children and this suits the storyline of SHIKHAR as the SHIKHAR is the peak of good deeds and thoughts on one hand and the elevation of ambition and greed on the other.
The DHEERE DHEERE number appears twice in the album by Sunidhi Chauhan and KK respectively. Both the versions are sung beautifully and reminds you of the old era of songs where lyrics, their words and melody used to be at the shikhar.
MERE MANN is a romantic number and for a change we have a song which can be heard again and again without using the Fast Forward button. TU HAI SHIKHAR is devotionally sung by Jagjit Singh and as usual he has put life in the words penned by Sudhakar Sharma. One salutes the guts of John Matthan to have a modern storyline which deals with the battle of an highly ambitious man v/s nature and have a beautiful devotional song in it.

I personally think that it is very difficult to combine a peppy tune with good lyrics and there have been quite few examples of songs which can pass off as club numbers as well as evoking a few thoughts in ones mind. I must complement the song 'Fitna Dil' which according to me scores on both grounds. Its catchy for the clubbers (and I am not one of them), but it has very good lyrics which really makes you think.

That stupid Viju Shah should be shot !! All his previous songs have been copies, and he's picked different genre's each time. First it was Gloria Estefan's Oye Oye, Then Mast Mast by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and now Rammstein !! Who needs piracy when we have plagiarism ??

On lines of copying, here's what the critic missed-The background score, which is doing the rounds on telly right now,is a straight pick from the huge hit "Du Hast" from rammestien.i sure it would't please the die hard rock fans

And this shikar's song(i think its the title song) is copied.. almost similar words from rammstein's du hast song in sunsucht album.
