NENEPIRALI will reminds each one's desire in his/her life, that is excellently well captured by rathnaja... Moreover Mr.Ramachandra's camera work and Hamsalekha's music is touching. Thanks for providing such a nice movie...
hi everyone, Nenapirali is a movie that has set a new trend in kannada film industry. The camera work, locations, costumes, narration, fabulous music and last but not the least - the legendary Hamsalekha's Lyrics. Even the film critics at rediff.com could not resist from giving the movie a good review.
So, dear Sudharshan this is the motive to have a column for KANNADA film reviews at rediff.com. This trend will continue... Thank you rediff for this column. You guys are doing a great job!!!
I would like to appreciate rediff and their team for posting a movie review of a kannad movie on their site! Though belated, it definitely would arouse interest in your website, since not many mainstream and popular websites post kannada movie reviews. It also helps our hi-fi kannada folks to read them.
A word of caution to Mr. Sudarshan. Please stop the crap that you have written.

its nice to see a tamilian write such statements.... its high time others too realise the fact abt the kannadigas' warmth and support.
Nenapirali -- Idu Hrudayagala Vishaya.Ratnaja had delivered one of best love stories of all time and title is ultimate with the movie an unforgettable experience. Firstly all credit to Ajay Gowda for taking such a bold step and releasing it at such a crunch time when there were so many good movies in line. And what about the maestro Hams. Back with a bang the lyrics and tunes are keep soothing your mind.
A great offbeat film coming out of all the violence and vulgarity Nenapirali has a clean sheet with more prominence given to Music, Artists and technical aspects. Re-recording and dubbing is done in the best possible manner.

Dear Sudarshan,
I belief your comments on the excellent movie 'Nenapirali" is fully biased towards kannada movies and with prejudice. I urge you to watch this neatly crafted movie once and then come out with your views. Don't make such a cheap comments targetting kannada movies in future.

hi i am a tamilian residing in Bangalore. I have found Kanadigas to be the most cosmopolitan and the most friendly people I have seen in India. I dont think any one should be having any problems with kanadigas of all people. I dont think Tamilians or the Telegu lot would be show even a small fraction of open midedness which Kanadigas show. Bangalore is the proof for this.
Ok one question, when Kannadiga's in general and the Kannada movie fraternity in particular are avowedly anti any other language movie, actors, producers, directors etc, why then are we being subjected to reviews of Kannada movies on rediff which unfortunately is read by all people.
If rediff has a kannada site its better to post these stupid reviews there and in any case since when have Kannada movies started constituting main stream Indian movies I would rather read reviews about Assamese or Manipuri or even Kashmiri movies rather than some parochial review written by and for Kannadigas.

Lo Sudharshan, Please let me know in how many theatres in Tamil Nad Kannada movies are being shown and similarly in other states. It is only in Karnataka where large hearted people (magnanimous kannada people live) other language movies are shown in large numbers.
Coming to you, how many Kannada movies have you seen. Hope none?
In kannada movies the great heroine Ms Laxmi. Do you know her mother tongue. Malayalam. Do you about other heroines. Better have proper information before you make such stupid statements.
I hope you have some better sense before making such uncalled for comments.

I think this guy Sudarshan is out of his mind! Kannadigas are most cosmopolitan people in the entire country. Ask any non kannadiga who is residing in karnataka and they will vouch it. If you do not like to read the reviews , please dont. and also do not get into the cheap writing which will create unnecessary hatred .

hello sudarshan,
I don't think u would have raised ur voice if any french movie review was posted in rediff.com. Infact they have posted review of a language which is spoken by more than 5 crore people and has 4th biggest film industry in India. There is no compulsion for u to read every article on net.And There is no meaning in praising on condemning a subject, on which if u r having no knowledge. Always keep in mind that the sole purpose of these message boxes is to transfer knowledge rather than spreading hatred views. By writing such a rancorous article u only loose ur self justification capability.

To Mr.Sudharshan
"when Kannadiga's in general and the Kannada movie fraternity in particular are avowedly anti any other language movie, actors, producers, directors etc, why then are we being subjected to reviews of Kannada movies on rediff which unfortunately is read by all people"
When you have exordinary skills to comment saying that Kannadigas are anti for other language movies etc..you should have the basic skill and ..not skill common sense what should you read and what you should not read.
FYI..If what you have said is true then Bangalore whould not have been the same Bangalore what it is now.
When people read what something they wont understand then they term it as stupid. Please read what you can digest.
Just because some people like you oppose other langauge movies you cant term all Kannadigas as anti in General (I am putting it in your own words)
If you dont want to watch Kannada movies dont watch it and also dont read its reviews. But if you read read it and comment ont the review. Dont comment on entire Kannadigas.

Mr.Sudarshan, REDIFF is global portal, it caters to all sections of people, spread across all over world. Dont genralise your ideas as all readers opinion. Have u ever heard of a FROG in the shallow well, dont demonstrate that.
Thanks to rediff team for the review, it mean so much for many kannadigas who stay in abroad, this kinda of reviews will be appreciated worldwide.
Well, Vedas says \"good things should be appreciated\", learn to appreciate. If you get a chance, dont miss the movie. I betchaa, sure it will change your views.

R U a Kannadiga ( I hope u r not..)....?
If u dont appreciate good kannada films its fine.., but please dont depreciate....It will be like scolding your own family in public with very bad words..( I can tell them here..!!).
If u assume that all kannada movies are Bad and not of good quality.., please have a look at National Awards List and some great movies released even in recent years. People like you are responsible for our Kannadiga's and Film Industry's situation today. But keep it in mind that there peole who will take kannada forward, u need not do it.., but atleast dont hurt those who work to take forward.

Hi Sudarshan, first impresssion when i read your post, i came to know your sick(?),you didnt even think it hurts some one's feelings.who said kannadiga's are against other languages, for your kind information karnataka is the only place in whole part of south india where other language movie runs,ok i do agree there are problems, agitation, it is bad, but not that we are the first, read history my dear friend, there was similar agitation on similar grounds in tamilnadu, andhra, maharatstra to protect thier films.it is natural tendency to react and to protect it's own industry(not only film, it happens in manufacturing industry also)and comming to film in genearl kannada movie industry creates more art movie than any other film industry, think of being indian first ,as mani shankar iyer said "i cant be an indian if i am not allowed to be a tamilian", understand the diversity we have in our country, and try to behave yourself.good bless you my dear friend

What's wrong with you Mr.Sudarshan? Why are you jealous if rediff posts reviews on kannada movies? If you are not interested to read it, all you need to do is just not to click the link....Unlike you, Kannada people or Kannada movie industry people are not asking rediff to post only kannada movie reviews and not to post tamil or telugu movie reviews. If you are upset about the kannada movie people asking to ban showing tamil or telugu movies in Bangalore, it's not because they hate those languages or the movies made in those languages...it's because they want to make sure people like you to go & watch a kannada movie. Eventhough not all the kannada movies are not as big budgeted as Tamil or Telugu movies, there are quite a few kannada movies, that I would recommend you to watch. Now that recently, even kannada movie industry is recovering and making very good progress in terms of big budget and the quality.

Hey Sudharshan.....!!! For all the animosity u have for Kannadigaas, pls come once to Bangalore and see the fate of our own fraternity..........probably this is the only place on Earth that is feeding many people who don't have the least gratitude to be indebted for the place they are living in(Bangalore).......... unfortunate thing is that this gr8 State called Karnataka is has been taken for granted by outsiders........here u find more no. of non-Kannadigas in IT Companies and in other industries too..........u have to think twice to speak your own language(Kannada), a harsh feeling for any localite........we sometimes feel like being hanged for such moments........ For your kind information, I am an avid fan of non kannadiga movies like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam.....bcos, an art is an art for that matter, no matter which State that belongs to......... I do agree that Kannada flm stars protested the non kannada films getting screened in karnataka........but then had your State been in such a position(that your own pride is at stake: you don't have theatres to screen your own movies, when other language movies are getting screened in a bindhaas manner), then you would certainly

Mr.Sudarshan Please try to get your facts right before accusing Kannadigas and the Kannada movie industry as being anti-any-other-language. Show me any other state, particularly South Indian where movies from other languages are released in theatres. It's only in Karnataka that movies of all languages are released and appreciated. While the Tamil/Telegu movie industries are barely managing a success rate of 10%, the Kannada movie industry is healthy at rate of 40% (even better than Bollywood at 13%). It's good to know that you don't hate all other languages and would like to read about Assamese and Manipuri movies. But please be aware that it is meaningful Kannada/Malyalam movies that are making an impact at the national level when compared to the "mass-appealing" Tamil/Telegu/Hindi movies. I wonder why so many remakes of Kannada movies are appearing in Bollywood, Tollywood, and Kollywood - huh! Ignorance is not always bliss! Please wake up from the deep slumber that you are in.

I am not sure if Sudarshan had a personal bad experience involving a Kannadiga (which can happen to anyone involving anybody, in any place) or you have framed your opinions based on a few recent incidents. While I do not want to delve into those details, most non-Kannadiga brethren who live in different parts of Karnataka would strongly disagree that Kannadigas are non-accomodating and anti to other languages. Kannada is not enforced on people in Karnataka. In fact, the non-Kannada films generate more revenue than Kannada films in places like Bangalore. You are better off passing it off as a film review you would not read rather than inciting people's sentiments in which case you are sure to receive serious backlash.
Nenapirali is a clean, superb, musical, family entertainer. The debutant director, talented Rathnaja has lived upto all the expectations and the hype that surrounded him before the release of the movie. There is a refreshing feel attached with this movie, which can only be felt. Combined with the magical lyrics and music of redoubteable Hamsalekha and the top notch camera work by Rama Chandra, Rathnaja takes you through this cool love story between four(or you can say three, in the end) hearts.
It's not the usual run-of-the-mill, running-around-the-trees type love story. Rather it's a movie which tries to findout the meaning of true love, sympathy, care, sacrifice and oppotunistic attitude. In the end, it's the true love which wins!
Songs in the films are a virtual feast for eyes as well as the ears. Especially "Olavu ontiyalla", "Droupadi Droupadi(manase maha markata)" and "indu baanigella habba" songs made me to jump with joy. Amazing songs! I am still in the dream world created by those songs.
My personal best song in the movie is 'indu baanigella habba'. The locat
This movie has more than I expected, its just great.. keep it going Rathnaja..A great great movie, people should see and encourage such new ventures.. I would see this again.
