Movie is not inspired by Hot Chick but another movie released in early 90's. Not sure of the name. The hollywood from which this movie is inspired from was a beautiful scripted movie with a classical ending.
I never go by reading a review on newspaper or on website. I also advise readers not to follow the opinion of a perticular person about a movie. Its not go to premeditated to watch movie
The reviewer wonders why the dead man goes to Lord Shiva and Parvati. Here's the answer: Lord Shiva is Yama's boss. I am not sure why or how He became Yama's boss. Perhaps its got to do with how he conquered death and is known as mrityunjaya / mrutyunjaya. Perhaps that's why Shiva is found in graveyards, with ashes of dead bodies smeared on His self. Anyone else knows more?
i am nto sure if it is a copy of hot ..., but it is defintiely a straight lift of "Switch" with ellen barkins in the main lead. come on, she cannot go around calling it an original idea like it is said in an interview on rediff.
In a recent interview with rediff, Antara was livid when asked if this was a remake of the English movie "The Hot Chick". I totally agree with her, she had every right to be furious, since this is a scene to scene LIFT OFF, OF ANOTHER movie, the 1991 movie "SWITCH" and not "The Hot Chick". I was amused by Antara's righteous indignation in spite of a blatant case of plagiarization.
To get more information about the movie Switch, go to http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/movie.html?v_id=48196 . The original movie in spite of its weak story line was lifted by a riveting performance by actress Ellen Barkin. Antara Mali with her limited histrionics would definitely not do justice to this role. Good luck watching an insipid performance coupled with weak direction.
