Well, atleast the animation part is not an outsourced american animation made by dollar greedy animators. Its a decent effort as far as the layouts and bgs are concerned. To hell with people who cannot digest atleast an honest attempt. The live action was a disaster. The review guy probably is obsessed with busts and hence couldnt see beyond it. The music was superbly rendered by Vishal Baradwaj and please refine ur sense of music before u write rubbish.
wow...What a review, its so comic that more then the movie, I like the review. So parents keep out the kids ha ha ha., And Mr.Kaul, why did you waste 7 years for this thing? I remember the launch of Bhagmati in Hyderabad as i was there and expected you to give justice to Bhagmati , because of that name Hyderabad was known as Bhagyanagar, but Instead, you have made this film so self indulgent that I wonder what makes Subash Chandra Goel opt for you in first place for direction...come on Mr.Kaul , remake this film with realtiy.
And Animation, the less said the better, the people make claim that Indian Animation has arrived....now now if you give such crap and show this kinda film in festivals , then i hasten to add that you guys are not giving importance to qualiy.

Although I haven't seen the movie yet, the review is SUPERB. Congrats to the reviewer. And after reading this excellent review, who is going to watch the movie?
We, old Hyderabadis are so fascinated by the love story of Bhaagmati and Mohd. Quli Qutab Shah,the actual founder of this beautiful city,even though they say their lovestory is more fantasy than real. I am yet to see the movie.But it is so dissapointing to know that they have done such a shoddy job after toiling for so many long years. After all they had started the project when ZICA was still at Hyderabad.I have also seen the first few sketches that the students had made. However,I can give my actual opinion only after watching the movie.
Must congratulate you on an excellent review! You are very refreshing. And yes! Madam 'Bhag' looks like someone straight out of Baywatch with all that 'Bhagnaa' (Running + Bouncing) :-D. Both the annimation and illutration was very amateurish. Tho it did begin very well, but alas that was the end of it. Quite insufferable really. Too bad, it WAS a good concept.
Anyways..so what other movie are you reviewing next? :-)
