With such themes of 'Pyar mein twist' we can gain knowledge and simultaneously we can learn how to behave with our spouse during that stage, when we are alone.
Of course, the magic of Rishi Kapoor & Dimple Kapadia will work!! moreover the audience today has become very smart and if something is presented well why not? the subject of the film also matters a lot, but we as audience is dying to see more and more couples like this to come and light up the silver screen!!! I wish both Rishi ji and Dimple Ji all the best for their forthcoming film "Pyar main twist"
It cannot be predicted whether the audiences will accept a 'mature' love story or not? I mean it depends on the entire story line and the script and how well an average viewer can compare himself / herself with the character(s) ?
Indian audiences have opened up to a lot in last 10 years and most of our movies are improving in quality. If Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia are going to do some silly sequences then naaah ! but yes I did like Rishi Kapoor's performance in Hum Tum - BRILLIANT!
Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachhan's pair worked well in Baghban because there ARE situations like that, the movie was close to real life, the story was good, well potrayed, emotions well expressed... There are people in real life who can relate themselves to one of them, so I guess its not the age but the story!
I think, with our audiences the answer for any movie .... is dekhte hai !!
I don't see any problems for the Indian audience to accept mature love stories, because it is love that metters after all and not the way it is expressed!Whether it is the old Amitabh singing for Hema over the phone or the energetic Shahrukh crossing the borders for Preity, it is love that speaks the last word.
But ...to do mature love stories you need mature actors.I really do not have any doubts about the potential of Dimple, specially after watching Leela lately, but Chintu ??? ...I'm sorry but I can't vouch for him!
I have to say this because I was really dissapointed after watching the veteran Rishi in HumTum. Why does he still try to be the Rishi Kapoor of the Neetu Singh-Rishi Kapoor era when his age and looks don't allow him?
But it's harsh to comment on the future of Pyar Mein Twist before actually seeing it.
But I can assure one thing that we, the Indian audience are very much open for mature love stories provided the crew of these kind of films show enough maturity on their part.
And one last word for Pyar Mein Twist(read Rishi Kapoor)..
Rishi...we love you ..but please please do not make the film dull by wearing your bright pullovers once again!!
I donot agree with the basic premise of comparing Baghban with a Pyaar Mein Twist story.
Both are two different Genres of movies. Baaghban I would still compare to other movies on the same story lines made in the past. Its the same old family drama of mother and father taking on the brunt of their grown up and married childrens attitude.
Pyaa Mien Twist is a whole new topic. A whole new agenda. While we enjoy the yuppie love, some where out there is a generation which can identify with this story. This generation is alive and amongst us wanting to come out in the open with their lives. This story will still be a dificult issue for the yuppie viewers to grasp, but I am sure acting apart this movie will be a trend setter in its approach to the subject and issue of older generation of people wanting life partners and relive their lives once again. I see no harm in this story line.
Ya, it would work. If Baghban and Joggers park can work than why can't this one.Possibly it may look odd once but if making and presentation of movie is good than this will definately hit the screen.
