And...there goes all ur money to one of KBC's participant.everything is business.KBC is that kind of a business,with innovative tricks,styles and creative thinking.just imagine! one is mad to give thousands and lakhs for someone answering questions!?!.:-) .
This is the simplest gimmick played by all corporation to make money. This happens every part of the world . the only difference us and west is when somebody is taken for a ride, they simply just don't do a damm thing abt it, only cursing their fate. whereas in west they would have sued service provider by now for millions of $$$$
you should have sued Airtel for their negligence or unethical practice . They make money in their airtime unethically by simply delaying in asking question or replying the answer. Atleast they should have refunded your trip to mumbai.
I think the people will never imagine that their gullibility itself finances these shows / contests and the prizes too . What is more comic is that the hosts / sponsors of the shows alongwith the Mobile operators ALL laugh / guffaw their way to the Bank with the bill / charges realised from the enhanced rates for the extended SMS messages .....
I read this article. Couple of months back saw the news on paper that Airtel has paid a huge amount of money to involved its name with Big B's KBC... The amount was somewhere multiple of 10 Cr. I wonder how come the company would pump up such a huge amount of money from such a show. Now I know how? Thanks to 1 Billion maniac people with 30 Millions cell phone in their hand, getting back 100 cr is nothing .... you just need to fool one out of every ten people to get the money back.
If this has happened in US, I am sure by this time Mr. Mittal would have enjoyed the cells with the white punks.
