Vin Diesel was funnier and had more shades to his personality , compared to the 1 dimensional ice cube.. who either frowned or nothing at all.. The action was yawn-inducing .. no originality and booooring.. xXx was all about action and Xtreme sportish which was awesome..very bond like, if I may say so.. Rediff reviews are always off track anyway.. dunno where they find these writers..
lol @ cube better than vin........ we all were sure abt the action.....but even attitude was shown off well by vin diesel.....hes nytime a better actor than cube.....
n as for xXx people........pay vin diesel a hefty amount.....sign him for the next movie or else dont bother to make a sequel again........
the first xxx starring vin diesel was definitely better as the stunts had a more visceral feel to them, and they looked authentic, as compared to the sequel. there was no plot to speak of in both the films, but the portly 'ice cube' as an elite navy seal requires some serious suspension of disbelief. although the repartee between gibbons and xxx is entertaining, after some time it does grate. the one original thing in the sequel is the repeated quoting of tupac shakur. also, saying that ice cube is a better actor is akin to the proverb about the one-eyed being king in a blind populace. lastly, since the ground has been laid for another sequel, one has a sneaking suspicion that the next xxx will be 50 cent, or slim shady.
