Stay out of this
by Ayan roy chowdhury on Apr 24, 2005 12:06 AM

Dear Ms. Mukherjee,
You are great actress and since your performance in Hum tum then Yuva and then Black, I am absolutely bowled over. Just too good but theres always room for betterment and hope u do the same. But please keep yourself out of this dirty politics, specially the one with Pakistan. Whatever, many of these film personalities say, such as Javed Akhtar, Aamir Khan and God knows who else, Pakistan is a terrorist state. Its state of Islamic fundamentalists. There are good people indeed even in Pakistan as there should be in every country but this country was created out of hatred for what is today India. It was created out of mistrust for Hindus, a community which is most tolerant religion and has adopted the religion into the cultural mainfold of what is today India. Pakistan was created out of distrust and disbielieve and hatred against Hindus. They live and strive on hatred. Please...please dont go there, please dont lower your image in the eyes of milions of your fans. How can u justify yourself to align with a nation which killed many a young sons of India. Please do the good job that u are doing, do some good meaningful films with Rituporno...anything but politics.

Did 1998's backstabbing come to mind Rani??
by saagarbhatia on Apr 23, 2005 10:20 PM

Is 1998 so long back? Is it like 150 years ago, where are Indians? Has every Indian forgotten Musharraf's Kargil misadventure where so many thousands of Indian soldiers died? Rani, Shahrukh, Lucky ali, sanjay dutt, salman khan, aamri khan, john abraham, urmila etc, do you have no memories?
If you forget the death of your loved ones, then what happened to you shall be repeated over and over again.

c'mon we are 3rd world nations...we sudnt feel gr8 if any pakistani general likes any of us....

one side he is killing and back stabbing our own people...other side he is loving some bolly actresses...

theres lots to be written..there were ordinary guys who died fighting for our country.....lets talk about them..

Then we have smiling politicians who do anything for vote bank...ditto with these bolly actors(better term them holly imitators)....they are taken as idol...

They make love stories ....any guesses how they really are in their personal lives...

Pathetic to say that i am proud of India...

If she feels to go on a visit to Pak thn she can have good vacation out there. My question is " Is she gonna do something constructive out there", We shall never forget the back stab tht pak had done in 1998 and many thimes b4 tht. So a dinner and nice gestures are jus mask to cover the brutality behind them !!!

Pack her to Pakistan then!
by Rakesh on Apr 22, 2005 04:47 PM  | Hide replies

How disgusting! She speaks of this event of "such an honour" and in her words "When I was invited, I was disbelieving and overjoyed" and also "It was like a dream come true!". If this has been her dream from childhood, I guess we should pack her irreversibly to Pakistan to have her being honoured and her similar dreams would come true every day.
I would also like to ask her: did the severely mutilated bodies of Indian Jawans sent over the border during Kargil conflict (masterminded by his excellency Musharraf) cross her mind during the honoured dinner with Musharraf!
I think in these days of relative calm in Indo-Pak relations, having cricket matches, bus services, peace talks are OK, but when these Bollywood actors and actresses tend to grab the limelight, seeking to be peace activists and ambassadors (which they are not) over-reacting and jumping around showing their emotions, they look disgusting and pathetic. Next day when she does to the Jawans at LOC (which she also have been doing, with Amir Khan), how does she expect the Jawans to greet her? I would have slapped her in the face, seriously.

Its seems that its time to pack u up from india and send u to adman nicobar island when every body today wants peace and end the long war with pakistan there are few people like u in india who wants no peace instead of looking the kargil was ..look the recent insidences in Gujrat what we people are doing the state Goverment is cristized from all over the world even americans have rejected narendra modi to come there bcoz all the world know. Apart from kashmir there is more trouble in india itself there are bloody masacares going on in india itself with its corrupt goverment and its policies Dont see whats Rani is doing ..first please bring peace in our ouwn country or own town our own city remove poverty, corruption and religious fighting remove the people (Narendra Modi) who just want hatret so after reading this email i hope that if ur indian u will leave ur seat and start working for the brighter future of india .. as iam doing now...

Hello, inshah!

I do not support Rakesh on his views, but ditto with yours. " even americans have rejected narendra modi" what America has to do with what is good for our country? I am neither supporting nor criticising Modi here. The question is we need people to believe in their country in themselves. Not to get flattered when some country (miles away, no clue about the culture and what's going on in our country) praises our country. We should learn to praise our country ourself and accept what is good from other countries/cultures and keep what is good from our country/culture/

AND by the way "as iam doing now" what are you doing?

I guess that you are a person with totally negative thinking. Can you sometime think positive also ? if not please know that "Road to Success is always under construction" It doesn't mean that you must not make a move. Be positive and bring change in your thinking. Don't talk about LOC only. If you compare with other nasty situations which is happening in india itself it is more than LOC. Start thinking positively and it will be the start for Peace.

Ur title sure is funny buddy...but some statements are made to be politically correct especially when you are that famous...its not that they feel that way but these ppl have to leave by an example. I bet it would have been more disgusting if she would have said something disparaging.

Films are significant part of our culture and thus film personalities are our cultural ambassadors. And who better than Rani Mukerji. Just because some unfortunate people have died in some old war is no reason to carry on like there is nothing else to live for. I applaud Rani for making her comments and doing her bit to raise hopes of peace. And I seriously doubt she is doing this for publicity - as if she isn't famous enough as it is!
