Shaan

Mr. Raheja states that Mogambo (Mr. India) was the creation of Salim-Javed. I tend to disagree as by the time Mr. India was released in 1986, Saleem-Javed were no longer working as a team. They had already parted ways in 1981. So if Mogambo was created before that then this might be true, but to my knowledge Mogabo was Javed's brainchild.
Mr. Raheja, your feedback would surely be appreciated.

I think Mr. India and Meri Jung were 2 movies already written by Salim Javed for Big B.

Somehow the scripts remained in shell since Big B took to politics. Both these scripts were re-written with modifications to suit the new cast.

Hi,
I really liked shaan the first time i saw it. Thier is no comparision with sholay but both the movies are really good. Shaan is different as it is ahead of its time for indian cinema. Its really a great movie.

Bachchan is so good in the comedy scenes
by Rakesh Pherwani on Apr 21, 2005 09:33 PM

I am still impressed by a few comedy scenes of Bachchan - one where he and parveen are trying to shake off the police pursuit and the other where while waiting for parveen in a restaurant [cafe naaz?], he chats up another female and gets too personal with her.
Amitabh's comic timing is faultless and his performance quite subtle.
Ofcourse the music by panchamda is grand.

A grand film called Shaan
by IMTIAZ ASHRAF on Apr 21, 2005 08:55 PM

Dear editor,

It was in fact, a lousy film and also a big flop. Importantly, it was a great let down for its director
whose previous film was Sholay. Mind you, there was nothing good about Shaan. No wonder, it failed to woo the viewers.

who is the writer plz
by vivek on Apr 21, 2005 08:39 PM

I am sorry in advance but I think this article cud have been much better...

Who is the writer of this article???

Bad Writing..ex follow
"and madder still at a bald-pated villain, Shakaal"

"His younger brothers now want Shakal's bald scalp"
I think the thoughts were in hindi and then translated to english..

Too childish.

Cant you find a better example..it didnt seem so impresisive to me to be criticized..ex follow

"To have the villain respond to the accusation that he knows 'kaafi kuch' with a line like 'Kaafi nahin, sab kuch' is all too predictable.

Research well before writing..as this dog sequence was directed by some foreign director..If I correctly remember..Sorry if I am wrong but I saw one interview of sippy and he mentioned using forign director for both sholay and shaan..
so plz get up from ur seat and research well then write plz...dont waste our time...

see what you wrote...
"Ramesh Sippy directs the action sequences with characteristic flair -- watch a pack of dogs ferociously hound Sunil Dutt"

I hope u are good enough writer to take criticism..
