Movies are usually fiction based on fact and need not adhere exactly to the original script. It is puerile on the part of Musharraf to make an issue about this matter, especially since he himself is a master of misrepresentation.
It does not matter whether Mush is upset or not. Fact remains that Indians are POWs since 1971. He may not have imprisoned anyone but before his time it has happened and these people continue to be in Pak jails.
Flt. Lt. A, B. Dhavale is one of them although he has been declared dead in action during 1971 operations.
It will be an insult to indians in indian soil if any such talk take place between Mr. Chopra and Mr. Musharraff. If Musharraf is upset with a story of an IAF piolet imprisoned in Pakistan (which he says never happened) we got enough reasons to disbelieve him. We got enough proof to believe that our service men are still in thier custody. To give Musharraf something in the same token, we shoud show him photos of mutilated bodies of our army men upon whom unseen barbarism was inflicted before Kargil war. Veer Sara is a film only and Mr. Chopra got every right to show what he feels. It will be ideal for our Mr. Manmohan Singhji to call Mr. Musharraf and show him the clippings of what PTV is showing about India on a daily basis and present his displeasure.
My advise to Mr. Chopra is not to attend his dinner.
People react, respond, to entertainment.... people reacting to this are often considered to take entertainment seriously.... the respondents are the ones who have understood what entertainment is.... pick up your choice.... and decide where you want to be considered in or rather categorised in.....
If the news is true than... musharaf havent seen the movie or just skipped through it. Movie didnt show 'pakistan in bad light'.. even my pakistani friend liked the movie.. and said it was gud 2 see a movie which was not biased.
The only bad charachter wuld be of manoj bajpai who by the way didnt reflect any "pakistanism" in it. It showed the revenge of a guy whose fiance is in love w other guy.
If Yash chopra had shown pakistani characters out of life ... giving their daughter to a person from India without any no-no.... there is no story then.
Musharaf cant see LOVE i guess... the sacrifice of 2 souls.... the love and sacrifice of zarra.. the sacrifice of their parents.
and BTW... its a fiction.. for clean family entertainment purposes and with only one message : Sacrifice for love.
