Well, we fought wars with China too. Why just make the films about ones with Pak.?Why Pak. always end-up losing in the films? I do not think anything wrong with "Pak-bashing" term. Also, it has nothing to do with Veer-Zaara. In fact, we Indians are more interested in watching Pak-bashing films (well atleast I am). Because it is thrilling (well , may be not anymore with the expected punches and dialogues). Agreed GAdar did not projected directly PAk as bad, but by having the bad guys on the other end of the border and Sunny and Amisha escaping across the border, what does that indicate? Yeah, it is Pak-bashing (by the way Gadar was way boring towards the end and have not even heard a single song from The Hero... tired of such films).
Anyway I am going to watch these films (Veer.., ATHWS,..), unless they are huge box-oofice hits and someone pays for my ticket (and possibly for vadaa-paau).
Patriotism doesnt only mean hate of anothoer nation.
We are lucky as Ashotosh has something new to offer with Swades. we can say revived patriotism.
Pak bashing doesnt work always..In Gadar it worked..and hero was not even able to make a mark. So dont make it a formula. Offer us something like Dil Chahta hai, Lagan and if bollywood really wanna dare then come with something like " Shwas" .

the movie ,"gadar" was purely a love story set in partition. it is such a beautiful romantic tale that goes beyond religious restraints and partitioned border. it was a well crafted movie from the director anil sharma. how can you be so biased about a film that made history in indian cinema. you never know this film, "ab tumhare hawale watan sathiyo" could be another beautiful film from the same director.
hey i think its unfair to label Anil Sharma's films as 'Pak-bashing',its a shock to cum 4m u rediff guys...Gadar was a brilliant period movie,Hero was about anti-terrorism and i hav heard AB TUMHARE...is about uniting India&Pak.so pls do not forget that the role of media is to give correct 'news first'and 'not'their 'views', leave that for US-d viewers.
why u r branding Anil Sharma's film Pak Bashing ?? I have seen all of his filmS ...he has allwayz honuored Pakistan as a country and our own INDIA. in his film villains are allwayz those who are anti-humanity and who misguide ppl's mind and as a viewer i totally agree as it is the fact .we should accept reality and u as media should be responsible enough not to spread malice between the two countries by calling it pak bashing .ATHWS LOOKS VERY PROMISSING AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE IT ....
when will u stop being biased and stop doing these kind of propoganda for a film which is not yet released . Proclaiming love for one's Country is certainly not pak bashing .What i have gathered from papers is that it's a love story and very "pak friendly" film so plz stop jumping to conclusion as it exposes ur manipulation in the media
