Hi Pooja, you are right. This is not a review. The personal points are emphasized more here instead of a neutral review. Regards, Sandip.
I think andaz apna apna is definitely better than JBDY...the comic timings of each n every actor be it aamir, salman or even shakti kapoor are excellent and the dialogues well remembered..

If we take comedy as the only measuring parameter to compare the two aforenamed movies then we can somehow we may be successful in drawing a consensus that the two flicks are equally appreciable. anyhow if we try to compare them on several other scales then honestly we can admit that JDBY had a winning edge over not only movies of the then times but also its rival movie "AAA". To substantiate my point I must bring forth the movie's strong aspects which makes it post a winning goal. The movie not only excels in comedy but it was able to reflect the plight of the nation, plight of a common man. Without getting overwhelmed one can be manisfested how the life of an indian is rendered paralized by the corrupt administration. by intelligently giving a pessimistic climax to the movie the director has thrown a satire not only on the adminis but also on the commonality who has forgotten to fight for self esteem. The climax sarcastically reveals we have learnt to forgo the things going round us in the way its going and like the movie truely reveals the cowardice inside the commonality which says "Jane bhi do yaro". Thus the movie not only had a comic aspect but a social aspect as well.
Kundan Shah has directed other movies too like Kabhi Haa Kabhi Naa, Hum To Mohabbat Karega, etc.
The code word is not D'Mello in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. They are actually looking for the corpse of the Mayor (Satish Shah). Your comparisons are not valid.
This is my second review which i m reading on the rediff and first i read was "dil ne jise aapna kaha"...i dont know why u criticise a movie...I agree that movie has not done good business but i like it and i also agree that might be that was your opinion. But media is the interface between the people and the bollywood ....the same is in the review of this movie......might me Kundan Shah has never compare his movie with the previous Jane Bhi Do Yaaro.....But you guys realise him that he was inspired from it last movie. I think the media should be softer with the bollywood
