Blemishing the face of art., fie huh!
by Shubham Basu on Sep 15, 2004 11:40 PM

Fine life in india means third grade movies, cricket and highway bumps. Ask me if Indians know what art is? No, it isn't Satyajit Ray, perhaps he was the one noble fool who was born at the wrong place.
One idle game of cricket, and millions pounce on it. Who says soccer and hockey are real sport, they are not GENTLEMAN'S game. Talk of gentlemen and chivalry and three foreigners would be raped on the streets of Delhi. Fame money and power is what the real motive of life has become and lost behind it somewhere is the zeal to mettle ones talent and love for life. Who are the flagbearer? They are not seen, they live below the ice cap.
Dr. Abdul Kalam, what state is India running into? Either let the torrents rise to wash this ignorace away or give people enough wisdom to stare at their folly.

Laloo...a Filmstar? Oh yah!
by Sujoy on Sep 15, 2004 04:56 PM

If the goal of a film producer and a "politician" is alike and that's to
make profit, then why not they do it together? If the film stars can
play so well in politics so why not the politicians, who are expert in
real life drama, show their potentials in the films? If glamor and
entertainment are two of the ultimate features of a flick then I really
wonder that why did Laloo take such a ling time to star himself in the
silver screen!

It's a tragedy of biggest proportions that a person like Lalu Yadav is handling a key portofolio like Railways.

And when people like Mahesh Manjrekar give him importance by naming films bearing his name, he gets a message that he is doing all the right thing!

Agree with Shanker.
I have not seen/read about any effort to check the looting of trains in Bihar. But laloo has lots of time to act in films.
None of the stations are clean, the tracks are not maintained but it is important to act in films.

The common man is always the sufferer.
