It always amazed me to see in Indian film industry (not just Mumbai, but Hyderabad, Chenai, etc), female actors were far more superior in acting prowess than their male counterparts. Pay scales and respect commanded are a different story. To describe Dimple Kapadia's talent one can just see the contrast between the roles the portrays. Bobby -- Dhristi -- Rudali. Simply amazing! She has a lot of actor left in her still.
This is an excellent piece.....very clear, concise, factual and informative. No personal biases, no gossip....a must-save for Desi film history buffs! Dimple has had a really good career....she made some bad choices, but made it up with critically appreciated performances....Shes touching 50 and has even managed to connect with the Dil Chahta Hai generation!!! Young artist should lear from the oldies. Its bemused how Dimple has maintained herself. She is getting better as growing older. Dimple is a real stuff and a great warrior. Her daughters should learn from her.
I like her as she is the perfect today's woman, to be sucessful lady of man is not everything, atleast she was with Rajesh Khanna life for 10 years. as a woman I can say a lady leaves his man with great pain but if only 1% of Indian men understand that.
She is perfect in my eyes becoz after divorce she have good friendship relation with her ex husband, never departed her 2female child from him, sucessful actress, business lady. Sucessful mother in law with two healthy and weathy and self independant female mother. The most precious gift for her life, she can cry she can laugh with them, they are the person who undertands and read her best.
