Good!
by KAUSHIK on Oct 23, 2004 03:00 AM

After so many messages posted about this article, one thing is clear that whatever Surjeet said is severely comdemned by all. I hope the court also sees this fact and passes the verdict on the right step of justice.

surjeet is not a supreme man
by subramanian padmanaban on Oct 20, 2004 04:25 AM

It reads pathetic that a novice leader os the make of surjeet, the typical leader of the communist beggars of the nation, has stamped MrAnupam Kher as an RSS man and indulged in saffronising the indian society. When communists have no faith in god,how come they wear the religious symbol and cheat the masses by their misdirected speeches. If he is a real communist, let him first shave his beard and do away with his nauseating turban. For their self protection, they want religion as umbrella and carryout all covert activities.Otherwise prople will forget them, even their own community. It is a known fact that these self-proclaimed leaders thrive at the mercy of communist countries, mainly for the pittance they get for anti-national activities in India. It is history that their destructive approach has led to closure of many industries in India and rendered many jobless and come to the streets with families. It is shame that still these people thrive in this nation with their outdated idealogies evenwhen a few genuine communist countries have accepted the philosophy as a failure. We know how the USSR has gone to pieces right before our eyes. So,the dead man has no locus standi to comment others.

Justice expected from judicial system
by KAUSHIK on Oct 20, 2004 03:01 AM

If Surjeet has proof of his statement, then it's ok. If not, he should be properly penalised by the court. Being a responsible people's representative one cannot have the right to say anything about anyone, Surjeet not excluded off course. If somebody has moved the court, the court is expected not to delay the process of justice. The innocent should be spared, and the culprit brought to justice - regardles if his position in the society. We hear about lots of cases, but seldom do we hear about any verdicts from the court. That's a pity. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Who deserves the boot?
by D.Kumar on Oct 19, 2004 10:48 PM

Kher deserves kudos and Surjeet deserves the boot of highest order.

As a black mailer of demoracy he deserves much 'better' than boot.

It is unfortunate that so called 'gentle man - PM' Manmohan singh accepts these stupid demands to hold his chair intact. May be, it is called 'congress culture'.

Even God can't save this country, b'coz we are cursed and we deserve this type of rulers.

Kher's removal
by Vamsi on Oct 19, 2004 09:58 PM

I am not surprised b/c this is India. The brainless communists and the spineless congress can do anything..anything..anything..
We are in DEMOCRACY meaning freedom for the communists and congressmen to say/do anything and still win power.

CBFC dispute
by SURESH KUMAR on Oct 19, 2004 09:43 PM

the removing of mr. kher from the chariman of cbfc is very annoying , as it is again a bad phase of indian politics who tries to indulge itself in every form of globe as far as indian scenario is concerned. take the case of either bcci or any other autonomous bodies such as several psu the interference of govt .is present every where. i think now the time has arrived to do good adminstration for which the govt. is selected and not to make our democracy a dictatorship. how many times we have meet the same and ugly face of our central govt. . as soon as a new govt. comes into power the first thing they do will either change the governors, give top bureaucratics posts to their loyal and as such they change the whole shape of adminstration too. we should ask them that the person or body which they are removing is on what ground? is the party/person is responsible for it or it is the pre mind set that this person who was selected by the previous regime will not be loyal to them ? or is it straight forward policy to find out any shortcomings and remove the persons from any post with unjustifying reasons? is it the definitions of democracy which our leaders like gandhi wanted?

Kher drags Surjeet to Court
by Sharad Desai on Oct 19, 2004 08:48 PM

Right move. We need few people to teach lessons to these politicians. First Dalmiya, and now Kher. Indian politicians are now crossing all limits. They should be taught lessons. Surjeet has no base, even CPM has no base except WB. Kher has more fans than Surjeet or say CPM has. Just by fluke, Congress is in power and these leftiests understand that they are king maker. God save India from such politicians.

Anupam Kher.
by DR B.Sathyanarayanan on Oct 19, 2004 08:41 PM

As an experienced citizen of Indian Democracy (Nearing 60), I would like to personally congratulate Mr Anupam Kher for this bold step. Our politicians have the habit of abusing those whom they don't like, in very un-cermonious manner as they like and escape un-punished. People like Kher should not leave any stone un-turned in checking big-mouths of so-called progressive people.
