The legend called Nirupa Roy is no more with us. It is certainly heart breaking. She will continue to be the best "mother" on screen ever. It is sad that she was deprived of awards and felicitations that she definitely deserved. But who knows, it is common here for authorities to recognise the talent some one possessed only after they are no more.
I think Nirupa was the true motherly face of Indian Cinema. Whenever you try to recall motherly faces of the film industry, she will be the first to come to your mind and she will be remembered for the same. Also she will be remembered for her good motherly acting.
I always remember Nirupa Roy's affectionate role as a mother in movies like Deewar. The film industry and and me in particular will miss her. She is certainly a big loss for the industry. I pray for her soul to rest in peace...Jay
She was a very good actress and a very good human being. Her chemistry with Bachchan was unparalleled. I am sure Bachchan would be feeling as if his real mother is no more.
its really shocked me ....we have lost such a great legend ....it will take time to fill her place... i really feel sad that nobody gave her lifetime achievement awards rather giving away to other star who,s still working as a hero & heroine
