the critic has indeed written well, but then whats the point when almost every new hindi film is similar in content.lesson to learn:dont judge any film with the trailer, jus wait and learn about it first

Hindi films are another term for COPYCAT!
by Rahul.K.V on Oct 03, 2004 12:21 AM

u cant just blame on this particular film but when u look in to the current structure, all films are just copy of some old good films or in particular english films! None has a good story and moreover, all have the same topic in new versions! Dunno, when these directors are going for something DIFFERENT..like,DIL CHAHTA HAI,KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI, Brillant LAGAAN..likewise many noted ones,NOW,THEN AND ALWAYS!

I beg to differ from what u have to say about the movie.
I think it was pretty light movie and better than most of the movies on the circuit. The problem is if SRK does the same kind of movie people would appreciate but if there is a new lot, everyone would sitback and criticise. My funda of analysing the movie is if your three hours pass before u know then the movie is worth watching. And to your comment that a blue movie wud be better all i can say is that buddy u better watch only blue movies bcse i hope and pray no bollywood movie shud come close to it. :)

ps: With no offence to anybody

Sympathies for those who have seen the movie
by Gaurav Nagori on Oct 02, 2004 03:53 PM

Dear All,

I appreciate Patcy's concern for not letting people get bored to death & not getting forced to laugh on the poorest of the PJs. I have my apologies & sympathies for people who have watched the movie and were tortured for 3 hours with just one very short break(Interval).
I have one suggestion for the Director too: Our poor audience doesnt know when to laugh so he must include false laughter in the movie so that people will know when they need to laugh.

Good work Patcy
Cheers

Gaurav

Popcorn Khao......entertainment pao!!!!!
by Namrata Desai on Oct 02, 2004 12:23 PM

I disagree. One would go to watch this film with a light heart and not expect a beautifully made-oscar nomination film. The film is purely for entertainment and to provide a platform for the brilliant newcomers Akshay Kapoor and Rashmi Nigam who have done a fairly good job.
I feel that the film will do well from the point of view of teenagers and college-goers. And Akshay will definitely be the hottest teen heartthrob of 2004!!

Review of ''Pon Corn...
by Bhaskar Cherukumilli on Oct 01, 2004 08:41 PM  | Hide replies

The review sounded kinda juvenile. The reviewer felt the actors in the film needed acting classes. Well, I feel the reviewer also needs some review writing classes.

I completely agree. The reviewer was purely criticising and newcomers should be shown a little cooperation.

Ye jo public hai ye sab janti hai.
This is not the time that one should be appreciated just becasue he is newcomer. One has to give returns the moment he has given the opportunity else can only recieves flak. This is what precisely happening. Dont worry if these newcomers0 keep on improving themselve will sooon come with flying colours. I remeber when i saw SRK's first film i had even a commnet i wont see any of his movies in life. But now things have chnaged.
One cant stop being criticised.
