Troy is a well-made, well-directed movie. It is indeed an epic movie that will stay with the vierwer for a lifetime. Peterson has indeed depicted and brought to life Homer's Illiad brialliantly.Such historical movies on a grand scale are very rare nowadays and always a pleasure to watch and experience. The battle scenes and the cinematography are excellent; as are the performances by the leading actors and actresses (barring perhaps, Diane Kruger-Helen).
All-in-all it is a must-watch movie at least for one time. A movie with a lot of class and entertainment !
My friend compelled me to go with him to watch "TROY"..Though i was not at all interested i just accompanied him for the sake of passing away free time!!!But boy!I enjoyed every second of the movie!Amazing..I followed the thing though i have not read any books based on this..A must-see-movie for everyone!!I almost broke to tears after archilles killed the prince of troy.. Brad has got an an amazing built!!No wonder there are girls screaming for him all over the world!!
I appreciate the producer, director for sensational direction and writer for praising dialogoues and also the acting of brad pitt as achillies who can be awarded for best acting and second Eric bana as hector as a best son and the e'toole as a king of the kings.
I really dont understand why people are more concerned about how brad pitt looks rather than just simply posting their review about the movie..i would certainly tell that if someone misses to watch this movie..IN A THEATRE..then there is a lot to think about..later once it goes off it...it is one great movie...and is worth every rupee you spend on it..
I wonder whether Wolfgang Peterson understands the essence of Troy and the grerat warriors involved in it. He is portraying Achilles as a hero. Infact Troy is not just depending just on Achilles. He is a great warrior so is Hector. But I would say he's not portrayed him the way he should be. Hector is not a coward but he is as brave as Achilles. And Achilles kills Hector not b'cos of his immortality but its with the help of Gods (the interference of Greek Gods in the war is not portrayed in the film as Peterson wanted to avoid it) But as Paris, Orlando Bloom is a wise choice. I dont think Brad Pitt and Eric Bana fits their character.
the movie was really good. i've seen as well as read all things about that famous battle of troy, the stories based on that. the movie was really an image of that historical period, it holds the picture of the then time. brad pitt was really successful in potraying that character of 'achilles'. the cinematoghraphy of the film was awesome. but i think the releases of other kids-type movies like shrek2 , harry porter- and the prisnor of azkaban, etc, etc, etc, during this summer vacation has pulled the business of 'TROY' down. else it was a good movie ad a must-see movie.
Why does everything think that Brad Pitt is good looking? The guy has this weird fat neck with a face that looks like its been stretched too much. When I saw him in Troy, it seemed as though his face didn't go with his body, as though someone had just stuck a head/neck on someone else's body and produced a guy named Brad Pitt. Haha! He's not even good looking! :-)
troy was really quite a boring movie. it was like a re make of films that have been made before on the same subject such as "helen of tryoy" etc. the only good thing was how hawt brad pitt was in it. brad pitt=hot
