i think Hrithik Roshan is a great actor. His father was not a hit in acting. But one cannot survive in bollywood only b'cause he/she is a son/dauthter of any actor/ actress. and at the same time, {like kareena kapoor }who doesn't even know ABCD of acting become big actress. so, it's a matter of fate and luck too.
even though a star child has eaiser and better chances in the industry they have to prove themseleves Like Karishma Kapoor- you cant deny the fact that she isnt a good actress- in films like- shakti-the power, fiza, zubedia, raja hindustani Abishek Batchan has had it easy but he isnt a good actor hes wasting time
It's not only roses all the way for star kids.True that they get thier launch in a near perfect manner.And it stops only at that.Being star kids,they have to cope up with extra-ordinary expectations.And it is not easy for new comers to cope up with this tremendous pressure.Also it's known that launch is not everything.To establish oneself successfully,it's the work which matters,not the lineage.And it says everything very frankly nad squarely,without needing any further comment on this topic.

As a matter or fact even Aishwarya doesn't know to act. She was a hit only in films like taal,hddcs, devdas bcos she was made to talk less. Ask her to speak and man she is aweful, rather a flop,she is a total waste. Its only her crown and name that makes the whole of her.
Buddy who told you Ajay Devgan made it on his own? he is son of Action Director Veru Devgan.
One cant be ruled out as a good actor/actress as he/she is a star son/daughter look at Hrithik he is a star son before he came to the industry but after entering he just Hrithik Hrithik and Hrithik.
Ajay devgon is fightmaster's son and he had a perfect launch with phool and kaante. But yes, he is not a star son and he proved himself. And I don't consider kareena kapoor a star. Her movies are just a waste of time , money and energy.
If we see the list of the stars & their children, whom we are talking about, we will realise that childrens of stars who were not mega stars have made it big while children of mega stars have not done so well. It can't be destiny that is affecting it all the times but has to be some factor & the most important factor I guess is the face to face with struggle in their lives. Children of not so famous kids see their parents struggle & that leaves some impression on them that it is not a cake walk in this field & to get to the top they need to struggle & that is what helps them..
this is not only true in films but in each & every field.Sir Don Bradman's son had to change his last name to bradbourn inorder to stay away from the high expectations from the bradman name. Sunil Gavaskar , Amitabh Bachan , Dharmendra , Sharmila Tagore , Vinod Khanna are some of the stars whose children are struggling in their careers while children of Tanuja , Yoginder Singh ( Yuvraj ) , Randhir & Babita Kapoor are doing very well in their careers !!!

This is true to some extent, those that are more successful as the ones that didn't have to struggle against their parents image, in cases like Karisma & Hrithik. However you can't forget Sanjay Dutt, who comes from two very famous parents and Sunny Deol who is the son of Dharmendre. Then there are the likes of Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherji.
