It's really bad to hear the disrespect shown to the living legend of Indian film industry.I think Amitabh bachchan is icon not only in India but all over the world. And just Because of him people all over the world have started recognising Indian films. And i really fail to understand that specially on film award function he is not given proper care. Now he is in the last phase of the carrer, and this is the farewell we r giving to a man, through which now bollybood is associated. He has not only shown in films his mettle, but in real life too he is pure gentleman.Look at the way he talk, laugh,or move.People tends to associate him with themselves. No one is closer to him.And he doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. He is the king of Bollywood. And will remain for ever.So stop this nonsense and try to take care of him. I do hope the concerned people will understand this and would never ever demoralize him or make him feel embarasses.
There is no need for Mr. Bachchan to apologies to everybody who comes up to rub his image the wrong way for publicity. Please don't give undue coverage in your esteemed site to such writers who has accused Mr. Bachchan.
His article and clarifications talk about his humbleness and signs of a great human being. This qualities are not found in people of his calibre and status.
i really pity on what ruchira moolwaney said about the incident. its ridiculous to spread speculations without knowing the actual fact.this upsets the fans of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Mr. amitabh bachchan is a highly respectable person in the industry.all over the world people are mad for him. the concern person should understand this. she should have think twice before writing this kind of non sense stuff. i think ruchira has done it just for the sake of doing something controversial and attracting readers to the respective news paper.
We have all seen Mr. Amitabh Bachchan over the years & he is one of the most down to earth Super Icon of our country.
But i would like to add few points regarding all the award ceremonies.Don't understand why they give such importance to all the politicians?Secondly when You are honouring a person like Yash Johar, the head of the Zee TV is talking about his company, leaving Yash Johar clueless on stage. The basic essence of honoring a person was lost there itself.
I hope such mistakes won't repeat in the future.Because we all love Indian Cinema
I sincerly agree with Mr. Bachchan. Its the people that make someone a "Star" not Media. Media should restrain iteself from creating such rumours about a person of such stature as Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. The Author should not have published the article when she says "reportedly". Well atleast a reporter shouldn't publish something based on what he or she heard from other people. And for that she owes an apology to Mr. Bachchan.
I guess Amitabh has done a good job at explaining his case as could be expected of such an illustrious megastar.
Well, I am sure no Indian would deny the fact that Amitabh deserves the recogntion and hype that he generates even today. He is not just a celebrity but a national icon and to write so carelessly about him is to slight the achievements the man has accomplished through his long career and continues to achieved.
On the other aspect about media hype, I guess even the notion of hype is getting hyped, which is a slight to true celebrities like Amitabh. Media hype is tru when you talk of newspapers like Bombay Times from Times of India, which I regret to say, serves its readers very little value. But don't confuse Amitabh's stature with the page three celebrtities, who are deperate to get themselves into the photographs in the paper and the party circuit.
I am no Amitabh worshipper but I am sure that is he figures in a film, there would definitely be some acting merit in it.
So, let us be a little polite when we write about public figures that are universally respected for their contribution to society in any chosen field.
it was only natural for amitabh and amar singh to react the way they did.a person of the stature of amitabh bacchan needs to be seated on the first row in all functions in any place in the world. when will we indians begin to respect ourselves?
Well my only message to Amitabhji is kept up the good work and the masses will always be there for you. I totally agree to whatever he has expressed in his reply. I personally was flying with Amitabhji on a flight from Dubai to Mumbai and he was totally tired you could see from his face, and yet he was approached by so many for autographs or just to shake hands etc. But he never refused a single person even a small kid, on the contrary he went on to talk to many of us seated around him and to everyone else like a normal common human being. Well that's the greatness that this man possesses as compared a lot of other stars I've met or seen personally in life.
Personally I really feel whatever happened to him at Dubai was like a huge insult to him. As the stardom that he gets is not only from the media & the masses but first of all is because of the sacrifices he makes towards his work, family & friends.
I'm totally shocked at this press article and this is the first time I have ever replied to an article on the net in several years, but its just that I couldn't digest this one. Finally I wish Amitabhji all the very best in life and may god's choicst blessings be with him.
Can a politician like Amarsingh, who is media crazy and always cling with political, industrial luminaries and a respected personality like Amitab be "Ordinary" and honest? Amitabli has some guilty conciousness.
