This is too much. Already tolerated this nonsense in the movie Rudraksh.(A total nuisance with all pathetically copied hollywood mOvie actions.) Why r u people , all set to kill the Indian Film Industry. U wanna make a child movie, than go for our local Hero Shakti-Man . If u r thinkin, that u gonna spoil my favourite superhero`s image with that kind of stuff. Than just forget it . U lamers. Come up with somethin new da. U want some nu ideas then just post a bulletin and v will giv u hell lots of ideas . Our imagination and fascination still EXISTS. Coz v dream. "For those who dream the nite is longer than day and for those who makes the dreams come true , the day is longer than nite. And v ppl day dream. So if a slight imagination is still left in ur mind, Than just imagine what all v dream and what all v do to make the dreams come true. THIS IS SO RETARDED. First of all the violation of copyrights. The fact that this will be one of the worse movies ever. Just look at the starring cast, who the hell are these people. The Cheezy storyline, low budget actors are not going to help this movie at all. There is already enough of indian bullshit out there to watch. Does Marvel Comics genuinely believe that people here in India are stupid to accept spiderman in a dhoti. ridiculous is the word. If they think they are going to cater to the middle class market in India then they need to make their magazines cheaper and not make the here patriotic

Indian version of Spiderman with inculcated logic to the incredible original story might not be a success. Impersonating the earlier version is hardly a hit in India. Children will also not prefer because of same style and look and feel. Now the original Spiderman movie is getting telecasted in many TV channels. Keeping this in mind, it is hard to believe that Spider-Man 2 will achieve its objective. But this type of fantasies can be planned as original blending into the Indian culture, in future.
Does Gotham Entertainment think that Indian kids are stuck in the mythological times and will not understand anything unless it is dumbed down to them? Indrajal comics had Indian Heroes too ( a long long time ago) in the form of Bahadur and et al, but I dont think that making Peter Parker in some village bumpkin who fights mythological dudes is going to help. If you want to make a Indian hero invent a new one like Indrajal did. Dont mess with Peter Parker. Atleast the good thing is that Mary Jane becomes Maya and not Champa or Chameli :) He he he (Green Goblin Laughter...or is it Rakshasa laughter).

interesting the things you have to say about our RICH Indian Culture... but i guess this culture is not helping us get any where... we remain to a developing country and with Narrow and "culture-mided" approach (thanks to you) we will remain that way for a long time to come, too proud of this CULTURE and way to weak and inferiour to face the gloabl scene. I dont really blame you for this. there are a lot of People(and I mean a lot Of them) who think act and live like you are right now... funny but your Culture does not let you live in a clean environment with good roads and enough food for every one. This American Culture that you say is stupid and what not is providing food to 1/3 of the passing out college freshers every year and you know why because your culture has no employment opportunities for them... The america BPO industry in India is feeding a lot of families for you to make such a comment... But again you are not to be blamed as I understand this we have had the greatest of politician but not the greatest of Adminstrators... think about that...a friend.

Dumbing it down? Americans have no culture to speak of, so they made up a hero who gets his powers from a spider and who fights a "Green Goblin." We, however, DO have a culture (if you haven't noticed in your obsessive desire to act you a Westerner), and the people who make Spiderman are simply interweaving the comic with Indian culture. There are many fools in this nation who regard Hindu culture as nothing more than offensive baggage to be discarded as soon as possible. They stupidly imagine our culture to be "dumbed down," "inferior," and would like nothing more than to act like they're white. They imagine those who wear dhotis to be fools/ignorants and think they're "cool" (read "white") because they wear clothes by Tommy Hilfiger/Levis/Armani, etc.
