There is no doubt that kamal is great actor and surely he will do sedately better than Sanjay Dutt in Vasul Raja MBBS. As he has mentioned in his interview, whatever the movie he is acting he will do his excellent performance. But only problem with him is he is thinking so advance, which is so not easily reaches to uneducated people fans in Tamil nadu. But anyhow, one day he will get reward by getting Oscar.
Kamal - That was one of the frankest interviews i ever read.
But there was a small part of me that went sad when you said SWATHI MUTHIYAM was not one of your favourites. As the actor you have every right to do so, but while SAGARA SANGAMAM was a master peice of audacity and capture of hearts by arrogance, SWATHI MUTHIYAM was capture of hearts by innocence.
Thus it is a tad sad that you did not consider SM high, as to me - it was a defining cinema, one which provided to be the torchbearer for many an actors to mimic - the innocence potrayed by Kamal.
However, indian cinema would always be indebted to you for all the amazing performaces you entertained us with.
Kamal Hassan film like Nayagan,Apporva sahadargal, Indrudu Chandrudu are mouthpiece remembered forever I want kamal and Rajnkanth to act in a film their combination is something i cannot imagine
Kamal Hasan is a great actor and a good human. Your interview with him is very meaningful.
He must act in Marathi and Kannada films. He can teach/prove to marathis and kannadigas what acting is all about and culture & herirage of these two languages.
I had the pleasure of meeting kamal & spent few days discussing and walking with him during his leisure evening hours in Bangalore while shooting for a film titled 'kokila', way back in 1977 or so. He was spending long night hours talking to his ex wife Vani Ganapathi on phone and reading english novels. He has come a long way because of hard work. I adore him and wish him all the very best.
It is wonderful that Kamal Hasan is interested in doing Marathi Films. A South Indian showing interest in Marathi is really unbelieveable. All castes of people leave in Maharashtra but very some people have love and affection towards Maharashtra and Marathi people. In such situation, where Marathi films are disappeared, but i think Kamal Hasan will give nice days for Marathi film, if he produces and Marathi will once again repeat the history of well known films like Shyam chi Aai, Maher chi Sadi, Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi etc. Kamal All the best and hoping best marathi film from you. Best wishes from all maharashtra and maharashtrians.
