Probably the worst review that I have read. He said in the begining that movie has so many plot holes and he failed to mention even a single one. Oh yes, he has mentioned that Hanks was well dressed and having no money (for reviewer it is a loop hole!!!). Here is a news for him, in western world you don't have to look like a bum in order fit in no money jone.
And review is not scene by scene nurration of the movie. I suggest him to read reviews from good reviewers to learn something (my personal favorite is Roger Ebert from Chicgo Sun Times).
I love Steven spielbergs movies. So I was naturally interested in this review. Little did I know it would be like reading a scene by scene account. I had to stop myself from reading the review halfway through because it looked like the review was bent on destroying the movie for me by rattling anything worth watching and destroying the suspense.
The reviewer seems un-necessarily critical about "The Terminal".
1. "well-dressed Navorski has no money (hole in the script)." I guess the reviewer has never travelled abroad, much less to the US. Ask any of the thousands of H1Bs here (myself included). We all came wearing suits (can't pack them, too heavy. Also, everyone says it's too cold here), but had little or no money. I have friends who came here with as little as 50 or 100 dollars. Paltry sum!
2. About Navorski's varying degrees of understanding English: Again, see for yourself in America. Especially in big Metros like NYC or LA, you will meet people speaking in various accents. Even after spending couple of years here, you will have difficulty understanding certain accents/drawls.
So please, criticism is good, but when reviewer has no idea about these issues, he makes an arrogant/incompetent fool of himself. Just like most other Indian englis MEDIOTs do.
1. throughout the review the name of the actor is within parentheses other than Kumar Pallana, whose screen name is within parentheses. Why ?
2. 'After an overdrawn and utterly unbelievable climatic scene' - sorry for taking a dig, for a moment i thought it was 'Day After Tomorrow' and not 'The Terminal'.
Shouldn't it be CLIMACTIC scene instead of CLIMATIC ?
A review is not a scene by scene narration of the movie. It is a comment on the various aspects of movie making - the pluses and minuses without ever divulging the entire plot, the twists and turns. Rediff needs to screen these pathetic reviews before publishing them. Or else nobody is gonna be reading them.

Don't even bother reading rediff's reviews for hollywood movies! They copy it from various other sources!
