How about taking up the INDIAN masterpieces? Does Bollywood, obsessed with the West as it is, even know that there is an enormous cornucopia of literature in Indian languages?
Let's leave Western literature to Hollywood, thank you very much.
But then again, can our "DIRECTORS" even read in Indian languages properly?
