A legend in comic roles, what, however, is marring the tributes is the extraordinary fact that he brought a humane touch to his direction as evidenced by Kunwara Baap. He touched your emotions like a seasoned director.
On that count Mehmood stands heads and shoulders over the self-styled superstars and who have you. There were no pretensions. He was humble and down to earth, though he was at times enigmatic.
Thanks a lot Mehmood you have left indelible footprints with your style of acting and film-manship.
Its very sad to hear the end of the comedian king Mehmood. But his memories will be with us forever. He has given us the reason of smile. We all forgot how to laugh in this world of tension. He started and worked hard for us to smile. Hats off to him.
An actor par excellence,a great human being and a trend setter in comedy in Indian cinema,his acting is impossible to copy,and his talent hard to come by,we will surely miss you Mehboobji,may your soul rest in peace.
I was really shocked when I heard that Great Mehmood has passed away. It is biggest loss for Indian Film Industry. He was the Comedian of the Century. He has made such nice movies like.. Kunwara Baap, Bombay to Goa etc. also he acted in son many films line .. Main Sunder Hoon, Padosan, Hamjoli, Pyar Kiye Ja etc. where he acted ver well. It is not possible to give tribute in few lines bacause If I write It will require a merely 100 page book about him.
