I would agree with Mr.Pais comments that Clive Owen and Keira Knightley are actors to watch for in the future. Owen has delivered in films like Croupier and Gosford Park. Keira, well known for her roles in Bend it like Beckham and Pirates of the Caribbean, is developing into one of the more versatile actresses of today.
Saw it yesterday & hated it! This time there was no Denzel to save Fuqua, who should stick to modern-day urban dramas like Training Day anyway.
The battle scenes looked cheap! Although that may be because in the last 2 years, I have seen the greatest battle sequences ever produced for film, in the LOTR trilogy.
There were few nice touches in the movie though. In previous movies about Arthur (like First Knight), the round table seated exactly the number of knights that were present in the room. In King Arthur, the table seats many more knights but only a handful are alive & seated at their respective positions, leaving the seats of the dead comrades empty. That was very imaginative.
Re-imagining Guinevere as a butt-kicking warrior was cool but Kiera's age difference, which was not so apparent in 'Pirates.." when she was paired with Orlando Bloom who's about the same age or looks it, shows up prominently. I couldn't help cringe at how older Owen looked in the love scene. Not good!
The saving grace of the movie is the comic relief (a little crude) provided by the always amazing Ray Winstone (from the amazing 'Sexy Beast').
there was more interest in the LA lakers NBA season than this. and y do the actors speak with a crappy accent? i mean cant they speak better mideaval English ? how would u feel if i the "passion of the christ" Jessus came and said "Yo man, whassup?" .
