Dear Mr Santoshi, I have watched all your movies to date, and by far, I have never felt let down..Khakee not only kept the record intact, but increased my respect towards you as a brilliant director.
I felt a sense of relief watching Khakee. A relief that I am not alone in asking many questions I used to ask as a teenager, and ask even now. That there are geniuses like you who will dare to go against the spate of hollywood ripoffs, melodrama, and 50 yrs old worn-out hero-heroine romance, and produce and direct movies which mean something. Which have an impact on our hearts. Which gives me reason to hope all is not lost.
I especially loved the ending, when the rookie Ashwin plays the game with his head....the nut and bolt scene was awesome.
Thank you on going against the crowd yet again, and coming up with a masterpiece. And waiting again for your next release.. Rajkumar Santoshi style..
Khakee was extremely engrossing from start to end. All the actors have performed well irrespective of the length of their roles. Amitabh Bachchan steals the show. Akshay has given a very good performance in a well defined role.
The pace was good but the second half was not as tightly woven as the first half. The personal lives of the cops on the mission could have been shown in a little more detail.
After Lagaan this is one movie which kept the audience glued to their seats throughout.
A terrific movie. TERRIF ACTING BY MR. BACHCHAN. Without wasting any time lemme say. I am going to see a 2nf time and am waiting for the DVD. Will definitly buy one. Full timepass!!
I Saw the movie and now only i can say that Rajkumar Santoshi has taken Best out of evryone.its best team work,he has woked on each and evry characters,Amitabh,Ajay,Akshay,Tushar,Atul all are superb.songs were not necessary still some were exceptions.Lara dutta number is waste.Ash with surperise packet is superb.scene with constables wife and Last scene by Tushar are too Good ,that he too becomes part of system.overall movie is superb. Thanks to team of Khakee after long gap we could see something close to reality.
I never missed an Akshay Kumar movie, and after reading this review has made me even more eager to watch this movie at the earliest. Thanks Rajkumar Santoshi and thanks Anoop. Raj.
Thankyou Mr. Anoop Saxena, for your review. It is good to have a person like you as film critique. I have not seen the movie Khakee but your review of the film is very insightful and persuasive.
