Had gone with a lot of expectations as i have a great respect for Mr santoshi as a director but was completely dissapointed, the film seemed to me very contrived tiresome and too verbose...
too much of preaching and ideology thru the protagonists voice has limited his actoins...i feel we live in a society where in we mostly are in some way connected with corruption and corroding of system either directly or indirectly..so we dont need to now more about about it thru constant dailouge baazi...i would have liked a much more intersting scripting in terms of lesser dialouges and more action...i feel action is character...fundamentally its is completely lost in establishing a lost hero and then setting him up agaisnt the terrorist and then against the system...and therefore i guess it lacked pace and a certain direction.
i thought the film didnt have focus...as it meandered after catching up some pace...it just slip slided away... also can we see ajay devgan in some other attire as a baddie instead of his usual and now ghiza pitta ciggrate smoking poses?! he didnt have much to "do" accept come at predictable moments and then run away....
i usualy don't like to see movie now a days. but by chance i saw this moview.really its good movie. this movie can keep u silent & excited for full time except for five minut's song time. i enjoyed this movie.
Khakee as described by your article stands out exactly opposite. the story line seems to be very weak except for amitabh bachchan no one else seems to be the saving grace of the movie. the songs are also not good. moreover the movie cinematography and the fight sequences are also very weakly taken.
It was really delight watching Khakee.Good Direction, Good Acting (by all),Good Script, Dialogues, Humour etc... I m quite happy and many people will agree that finally Bollywood is giving Movies that can match Hollywood standards. specially the type of movies coming now days like KHAKEE, EK HASINA Thi , TEEN DEEWAREIN, WBHH-II, etc.. and directors like Rajkumar Santoshi, Ram gopal Verma, Nagesh Kukknoor around.
Amitabh is a MASTER....Tusshar seems matured with the movie(Serious)....and Akky was never better than this... Talking about Ajay...we can judge him from Deewangee..
Its an excellent movie overall...especially the helplessness of the Police due to Corrupt Politicians is wonderfully shown...
