Not all are cliches

Cliche no 4 is not a cliche I think. I haven't seen the movie, but I watched Salaakhen. The suicide of Anupam Kher in the courtroom was the first of its kind in the hindi movies. I never seen such act in earlier or later Bollywood movies.

Kismat:16 reels of Punches

See the junior Deol in an instantly likable role! See Priyanka Chopra doing acting for the first time! Typical masala movie. Timepass. What else one wants? Paisa-wasool. Don't get carried by other biased person's review. Go for it and Enjoy! Popcorn movie. Thanks.

I agree with what the reviewer "THIS TIME " has said about the movie. It was indeed illogical for a man to have murdered "publically" and have been sentenced only 3 yrs imprisonment ...?
Such movies only encourage the public to wrong doing . Hasnt the Film shown the grim face of Mumbai Police who are no where(as most of the scenes were sans Police) to counteract these "Hooligans a.k.a Lovers a.k.a Bhai Log" ...!

Mr. Deol no grievance meant ...!

Look for more practical and down to earth and/or Mumbai roles....!

the film is bullshit- the public should ban it - which they wont because they want to see priyanka's skin and body.

it could have been a milestone for rediff , "never before except for superstar shahrukh khan anyone could have killed 16 people in 16 reels" and you would have declared it a hit by tuesday!

comments on 'Kismat'

Kismat is a pure 'Deol genre' movie in which storyline, plot and characterization take backseat and only powerful punches, expressions depicting rigid masculinity, cabaret like songs etc rule the screen. In this manner 'Kismat' is a typical masla movie which will fare at the box office as per its own 'Kismat.' However, some of the action sequences in the movie are good and can help the movie to fare better in certain pockets. Bobby Deol has again shown that he can carry weight of any big movie on his sole shoulders and looked impressive in certain scenes. Priyanka Chopra has nothing to offer except to do latka jatka songs.
Major problem with the movie is that it is based upon oft repeated storyline, which is not even treated well. Guddu Dhanoa has again failed on all accounts to give wholesome 'entertainment.' Problem with Dhanoa is that he deviates from the main plot and tries to concentrate more on lavish songs and dramatic sequences. His depiction of emotional scenes is so loud that instead of giving any kind of solace these scences become irritating.
Deol camp should have realized that Guddu Dhanoa is not a match to Rajkumar Santoshi.
