How can you expect Sachin Tendulkar to be famous in countries like Burma , South East Asian countries like malaysia , s'pore , thailand etc... Sachin Tendulkar plays cricket in Aus , NZ , India , Pak , SriLanka , UK , West Indies , South Africa & Zimbabve & Bangladesh. if you want to compare popularity of Sachin & Sharukh compare it amongst these places & you will know what it is & who rules !! I stay in malaysia & lemme tell you Sachin is also equally popular here as a leading sportsman from India.
So merely saying Shahrukh rules is crap & nothing else..
he don't have the acting capability of kamal or mohanlal, no glamour of salman or hrithik , no action of akshay no comedy timing of govinda , no dance of prabhudeva ,no choclate of aamir , no voice of amithab STILL in 2000 the survey conducted by times of india for the most handsome person of the millenium GONE to KING KHAN !!!!!!!!!!!! people like him ....... why ? a strange answer.. yes he literaly rules... we have an orchid in the khan name , we have a perfume in the khan name ... lots more are coming...... after 10 yrs in the industry ....people still feel he is one among them ... good going khan .. all the best
oh that's correct news that SRK rules he is really a good human being and a great actor, it's right that he is more famous then amitabh, ash but sachin is from other line so can't compare bollywood with cricket...But if we talk about bollywood then there is no question that SRK is the king badshah of bollywood he really rules that we dont have to prove it's already proved...SRK is a gem of a personality ...god bless him ..
Firstly,please stop using the word "rule".When an actor "rules" he must be a good performer,experienced enough to be an all-rounder(take sports icons,writers in their areas),versatile.And not to forget the person who "rules" must be popular too.
A "combination" of all this to the best of my knowledge is probably AB so far;Aamir Khan close on the heels.SRK is probably the most saleable actors in Hindi films today,but that doesn't mean he "rules".He is so very popular not for his "acting" but for the way his films are and how he is in those films-read "Feel good".Such films are loved by myriad cinegoers and he has done dozens of such films with people who know to make such films well for the masses.
He is appreciated and extremely popular and is a commercial filmstar whose films make big money.That is it,no harm.That doesn't call for being a fine actor.It takes a lot to be that.So please don't say he "rules".
That's utter nonsense.Not to undermine non-bollywood stars,so many are such fantastic actors.Some way ahead in terms of talent."Most" are regional icons,probably because Hindi has a wider reach in and out of India among Indian languages.Nothing wrong with that I guess.

True Partly... Point taken..But it has nver been that teh best actors are the most popular...... and roolz will always go to some one who dominates the scene.. SRK is not bad ...folks..leave fimfares.(maub it is junk) leave box office reports.. But defi he as an actor worth his salt.. It is not easy to rule the industry jus because media likes him......... accepted he has not ben versatile..but thats upto teh directors ...to do ..! Amitabh is such a great actor but he wasnt versatile post 80's..either! Angry young man was what we know of amitabh ..tho his better movies wer sumthing lke ..Abhimaan..namakharaam..etc and goin by ur defn..Naseer is v good acor..but cant say he rules bollywood........ u hat ehim ...u love him ...the tRuth stands .>SRK is a BIGG nam,e.........! regds

Its true that Sharukh rules but its also true that a star like Mr.Amitabh Bachan is on the top ,too. You can actually say that the no.1 bollywood actors who is known all around the world ,too, is both Shah Rukh Khan and Mr.Amitabh Bachan.
Last month I visited Durban.In one of the clubs they were playing hits of Amitabh.Africans were ecstatic when they heard that Iam from Bombay.They said it is Amitabh who is greater than all the khans.Few years back John Major invited Amitabh to campaign among asian communiies.Can Mr Amit Sahais shahrukh ever dream such an opportunity.The selection of BBCs millenium star as Amitabh proves his popularity across the globe.Shahrukh has not progressed from his stock expressions in movies of Chopras and Johars.Even at the age of 62 Amitabh makes movies like Bhagbaan success at box office.Can shahrukh do that at the age of 62.The cover story of current issue of India today is Amitabh Bachchan the leading man of bollywood.He is still adored by people across caste and creed and also across all age groups from 7 to 70.Amitabh is a national icon and an interntional star liked by millions in Africa,middle east and also russia.His name is there in the history of Indian cinema and he would always be the Amitabh, the ever lasting light of Indian cinema.
I was really shocked when I read the article It seems like the author is a big fan of SRK SRK may have a few hits but can never create a magic like Big B or even like Rajesh Khanna or Dev Sab As for as SRK is concerned I was astonished when I saw his 1st film that how such an ugly guy could become a hero remember I was just 4yrs at that time Even Ajay Devgan looks more handsome than SRK at the same time he is more talented actor than SRK All I want to say is SRK may be a star in India but when overseas is concerned SRK is nothing He could never create a magic as that created by either Rajni or Hrithik or Big BThe reason is foriegn viewers look at the substance not at the crazy things an actor does on the screen One example is that when Afghanistan was relieved from Taliban's ruling the people were eager to see the films of Big B Aamir etc but not of SRK

Kal ho na ho..u may call it crap...still it cud run cos of SRK...... yeh saif ws v good too but AMan ws SRK's cake!
