Dayashankar Pandey is actually living in that movie. At first I couldnt figure out he is the same man we saw in Lagaan. Great performance! Wah ji aapka kamaal nahi! :)
Come on get real. Lagaan was definitely far better than Swades. Yes SRK did act well in Swades. But the movie needs editing. The songs in Lagaan were all A + unlike Swades which had two gems. Even the choreography and filming of the songs in Lagaan was far better. At times Swades gets a little stretched out and boring because of too much preaching. It becomes somewhat of a documentary than an entertainer. If the movie is edited by an hour , it may work well.
Swades is a very nice movie. Shahrukh has done a great job. Gayathri joshi is good. I dont understand why rediff had given such a review. It really spoiled my initial interest. But after watching the movie i felt, we all should encourage such sensible movies. It shows that a good movie dosenot require great costumes, few item songs etc. I am not at all satisfied with the review presented.
I read your interview of Mr.Dayashankar Pandey. He is a wonderful actor. He is so convincing! He's very natural. It doesn't seem as if he is acting. I wish him all the best for his career.Hope he reaches great heights! Please convey my regards to Mr.Pandey.
