Dear Readers, Looking at the promos of Swades, i can take a fair guess as to the inspiration of the story of Swades. Years back there used to be a TV series called Yule Love stories on Zee TV. In this series there was one story of a NRI coming back to his village in India to convince the lady who brought him up to come back with him to USA. But she refuses as she has adopted a girl, played by Gayatri Joshi in Swades who is not ready to move back with them. The NRI later on falls in love with the girl and also stays back in the village. And Most interestingly the role of the NRI was played by none other than Mr.Ashutosh Gowarikar himself!!!!!
