First of all, you have a woman who doesnt even show the minimal courtesy of informing her own mother about getting engaged and the author thinks she is NOT a casual or flippant person!
Call me old fashioned and all, but I still believe public persons(and role models) like Farah should be atleast this little bit sensitive.
