Did you reviewed Okkadu
by Bathalaramana on Apr 23, 2004 11:01 PM

Hi,
The film is based on telugu movie okkadu, I wonder whe rediff has given review on remake and giving little importance to original telugu version( to my knowledge they have not reviewed the original OKKADU).
Is it regional favourism. In telug okkadu, it is excellent screen play and direction that drawn audiences to the movie halls.I can't understand giving reviews on remakes and avoiding oringinals

The reason behind the success of unrealistic stories is, people don't want to see the real things again in the theater which the see daily. Itz obvious, I don't need to go to a movie u see some realistic things. I just need some entertainment. I need to forget my problems for that short period of time & enjoy some fancy stuffs.

Gilli?

Personally, Gilli was too big a disappointment! So much that I rate it among the 5 worst Tamil movies I have seen (in a movie hall)!

Or let me put it this way - before you start watching the movie, please remove your brain and keep it safe somewhere, you really will enjoy it!

I wonder how sardonic the author of the article can be when he says "Tamil filmdom is deprived of such movies." If he really means it (in a positive way), come on, give us all a break! At this point in time, when Tamil cinema is going through a change for the good, a movie like Gilli seems too incongruous.

Has Mr. Guru Subramaniam ever seen a good movie, which is also enjoyable?
