Don't be discouraged priya. Most of retorts have come from Abhishek's fans. It's different when you are a fan and totally different when your are writing a critique or a review. I don't watch Indian movies a lot but occasionally. however, Pakistan-bashing will sure affect negatively a lot of audience across the border. You're right when you say most of this bashing and typical dialogues and rhetoric has become cliche, and only "chawanni walay" spectators/viewers clap on them. I still don't understand why indian media esp movies have picked the BJP's line after having a good impact on Pakistani youth. A lot of people did not believe in indian's movie maker's intentions or views at that time too but that was attractive to an unsuspecting viewer. Now it's open bashing. Sunny had a reason else his movies were flopping, but now others are trying to make hay while sun shines. Well, maybe it's blessing in disguise that Pakistanis can see media gurus' real face. However, I don't thing movies will keep succeeding on rhetoric & Pak bashing only. Many indian movie goers are mature audience & they see the other side too and feel the hollowness in such a propaganda but kids get affected -ly

No matter how Humanely one may think about other humans but No Indian can Love to be Friends or Love to have a Relationship with any pakistani.I ask what is the reason to have friendly relations,when one doesn't have any Reasons to do so?Think Logically and Sensibly.Baby Noor's episode type is always welcome and we Indians are going to shower Good Things If any one comes at our Door Step asking help.Tell me what is wrong in openly critizing a nation's Ideology if that is wrong?Likewise most of the Indians won't agree to the fact about US acting without UN Resolution and all those sufferings and happenings in West Asia.Stop your Philosophy.And PRIYA,I haven't seen the Movie but definitely would vote in favour of the MOVIE after reading all those Reviews b'coz A single person's opinion about the movie doesn't matter when you have lot going for it.
Thats the problem when a female goes into the theater expecting a mushy mushy love story and then to her surprise she sees cars toppling and blasts going off. And then she wonders, what the heck are the blasts doing in our love story. Thats exactly, what has happened with Priya Ganapati here. I guess, hers is a clearly a case of mistaken expectations. And of course, before just going all out on Abhishek, you could have checked out what role he was supposed to be playing and not just give a verdict based on your own inhibitions.

I agree with you harpreet.Thats the basic problem with female reviewers.Action,thrillers and suspenses are not made for them!!
Priya, pls go and watch all romace stuff.Serious and meaningful movies are not your cup of tea!!and in rest of the time,start searching for a new job .This could be your last review on rediff!!!
u guys have done it again ,if reviewers like priya continue to review movie we have the breed of khalid mohhamed growing,i suggest priya since u do not like any movie go ahead and direct ur type of a movie and make urself like khalid mohaamed did with fiza and top it all still pass comments on movies Zammen is a wholesome entertainment good performances by the top players devgan and abhishek great action what do u expect a classic ,grow up guys and start reviewing the film on its merit if the paying public likes it then u guys better shut up and listen u will shower praises on rituporno ghosh movies which even theatre owners do not see and call it meaningful cinema and go on shouting through the rooftops about the commercial movies Priya one suggestion please stop writing and get a deserving person the chance to write
one thing is clear from your review of zameen........u need a seroius brain treatment.criticising ABHISHEK has become ur passion i think.i can bet on the fact that ZAMEEN is his comeback film.his performance is simply superb so is AJAY'S.this movie rocks with some excellent performances and diehard patriotism.plz u rediff people,u have criticised ABHISHEK since his debut forgetting the fact that his performances r getting critical acclaimation elsewhere.please do improve your standards.
i'm sorry to say priya,u r not capable of writing the review of any movie forget zameen,zameen is a superb movie n i would like to say tht movies arent made for the critics but for the audience....thumbs up for the team of zameen.
Rating *** Zameen has all masalas to make it a above average grosser in Metros and high collections in Smaller centres and interiors.The Audience definitely supports Abhishek Bacchan as a actor and hope this movie will add some charisma to him as a actor.Ajay Devgan has established himself as the choice of masses as well as classes.The same thing he proves yet again with this movie.If You are looking for a movie which has somewhat nonsense which has become a part of the bollywood movie since ages "GO FOR IT."But if You are a typical YO-Man type of guy I am sure You will start disturbing other audience by your references to other hollywood movies,so better go for other english movies in town.Movie has bit of emotion,Patriotism ya yet again,and good action sequences.story is the same of a typical army Movie.Item number by amrita arora doesnt impress anyone and felts completely ignorable.Music just 1 song is good.Bipasha has very limited role and looks like she has signed movie to help Abhishek in his career.So Go whats U waiting for.Deepak Motwani
