Dev is dev for most of us. Suave stylish & what not.I think it's previledge to see dev movies in black & white. He is simply great. Even when Rajesh Khanna tide was in full swing he was the only one who was not affected. When dev was there on screen eyes never bothered to look at heroine whoever she was with exceptions like Madhubala, Sadhana & Nutan. it's our luck that we lived in era of Dev Anand.
There is no doubt that a person like Dev Anand has deep inborn acting qualities. And my long lasting wish is that if possible in this life I once want to meet such a great personality.

Once upon a time there was an island where all the feelings lived together there was a storm in the sea one day and the island was about to get drowned every feeling was scared but not love love made a boat to escape every feeling boarded in the only one feeling was le love got down
to see who was it
it was ego...
love tried and tried but ego wasn't moving...... .
also the water was rising
every one asked love to leave him and come into the boat, but love was made to love. all feeling escaped and the storm took over island, at last love dies with ego on the island...
I saw first movie of Dev Sahab was Jewel Thief at the age of 6-7. I don't know that this is the man who's name is Dev Anand. Since from my childhood I am his fan. His dialogue delivery makes his acting more interesting and love to see how he make difference from others. How can some forget his movie like "Taxi Driver". His role in Guide is just amazing.
Yah, you also forgot to add CID, Nau Do Gyara, and so on. Dev Anandd is an institution in itself. Raj AAkppor comes close to Dev's stature. Forgte about Dilip Kumar. He could never ct, except like a cry-baby. Dilip Kumar was nothing but Boolywood tryng to appease acertan communit.
You have forgotten to add the evergreen 'Johnny Mera Naam' in this repertoire. While the film has its own charm even after almost 3 decades for its racy storyline and blemishless screenplay, the like-never-before characterisation of almost all main actors is still a rarity in bollywood. The character of Johnny exhibits complex shades and the viewer does find himself in a quandry over Johnny's real identity. Devsaab carries the role of a cop and a conman with elan. One more thing that marks the film different than others is the portrayal of Johnny's mother which shows loads of common sense in the climax - another role which bollywood is yet to match to. Great performances by Pran and Premnath alongwith mesmerisingly beautiful Hema Malini make the viewer watch it anytime with relish.
