Boys - The worst film ever made in Tamil Film Industry
by Ezhil on Sep 29, 2003 08:19 PM

Hi,

My dear supporters of the idiotic n rubbish film BOYS. U know somethin' i saw the film with a black ticket for 180/- in chennai. Bcoz... 'am a diehard fan of shankar & A.r.rehman. But when i finished viewing the film with my frends, all were shocked. Is this the way to express the image of youth??? I ask u one question? Can u see this film with ur girl frend/mom/sister ??? and.... 'am just 22 years old guy who has crossed adolescense. I've expressed feelings as shown. But r u ready to watch such an adracious film with ur family? If u r from an educated family u can't. There r certain ways to show things in the silver screen. U can't show everything u want to show in the name of creativity. I agree that what he had showed in the film is reality that happens in our day today life. But is it so necessary to see all that personal feelings in the big screen??? Also i never expected such rubbish dialogues from Mr.sujatha.

To conclude....... BOYS is a total waste of 22 crores got messed up in a porn movie totally damaging the image of youth. Not every youth is like the BAD BOYS.

The movie should be banned.I think the court will make the right decision.

The film had shown the present situation that is prevailing and it reflects truth. Nobody can disagree that the contents of the film is not a replica of todays boys. Though the movie is vulgar, it has showed the culture of todays youth, and something must be done to change todays culture and not to blame the director, who only reflected the real life situation. Of course it is a must see movie for parents too. The message told in the movie is true for todays prevailing situation, that nobody is perfect and it is just because they are not perfect, they will not come up in life. Anyway, a director like shankar would have given a huge hit if he had chosen any other social subject. But one should think, about the director's choice for this subject. It is to really have fun in movies along with a strong social message, with lot of reality in it and to attract people towards theatre who only see the new movies in VCD. A film like boys will not be seen in VCD, sitting along with family. People have forced the director to give such movies.
