Market is a decent film . Manisha is good in the movie . I mean if chandni bar was good , which was crude and had an overhyped preformance by tabu then this movie is anyday better
Dear writer, I watched Market yesterday and was shocked by the film-makers attempt to portray reality in a such a manner. It is an example of irresponsible cinema with no social message. In fact, such films will onlt tempt the youngsters to actually visit a brothel. If reality is what the film-maker wanted to portray why was there no case of AIDS , which is so prevalent among prostitutes. One such incident would have been enough to insert doubts in youngsters mind about visiting such brothels. Also an overdose of foul language coupled with sleaxy dialogues were clearly targetted at the front benchers. And even after Manisha's graduation to a high-class call girl, the language and the customers which she and her friends come across don't use the high- class lingo. Needless to say, the female audience will completely away from such films who otherwise should be the target audience of the maker as the issues portrayed are very much related to women. It really was very heartening to read your review. The film-maker deserves such criticism and any further attempts to many another film of such a genre should be nipped in the bud.
Hmm Moral Outrage?
