If Tendulkar is an Icon in Cricket ..I think Mohan lal is an Icon in Malayalam cinema .. yes his innings has been great and i wish him on behalf of all his fans for more great shows and congratulate him for completing 25 years in the industry ..
I though born and brouth up in delhi .. i had been watching Mohan lal's movie since my child hood ( hey im stilla child .. just 23 heheh) I still recollect how i wept for days together after watching Chitram ... how i kept thinking how he could have been pardoned and evade death ... like wise ther are many movies like Bharatam ... Vanaprashtam .. His Highness Abdullah, Ustad, Kamaladalam,Manichitratalam, Narasimham ... and many more ... i love the way he gets into the character he plays .. and litreally puts life into the character .. and yes this is the reason we watch his movies ... and love n respect him ...
May god bless him with more success and he reach his pinnacle of success and remain there forever ...

every langauge and culture has such icons...it doesn't mean they are special or genius.If it was anyone who had those roles dictated by good directors they will excel.
