Sanjeev K Sharma
holds true for all AB fans
by Sanjeev K Sharma on Oct 10, 2003 02:59 PM

Its good that you did not write your name and every Amitabh fan feels as if s/he is narrating the whole story.Although, all are not Librans for e.g. I am a Virgo.
Indeed, the feelings narrated are exactly the same, especially 'Kaalia-Kaalia-Kaalia'.

We wish our Kaalia, Vijay, Sikander, Jai, Don... and ofcourse Amitabh Bachchan a very long happy, healthy and much more exciting screen and off-screen life.

Cardboard Emperor

To get a clearer understanding of Mr. Bachchan's fame, one should begin with a list of foreign cultures in which he is popular and held in high esteem: the middle-east, the north-african arab countries, the republics of the former USSR, certain very impoverished east European nations, naturally the Gulf states and Pakistan.

These are all places where for most of history, people haven't cinematically "grown up". We, Indians, belong to this global culture of the cinematically inept. Does the European and American public have any clue at all who this person, acclaimed, bonafide actor- movie-star of a billion people, is? It has nothing to do with racism. People out there are smart enough to recognize the genuine from the fake. For it's a huge fraud that Mr. Bachchan and his like have thrown at us. Mr. Bachchan's movies and his own series of roles, are so fraudulent, in that they tell you nothing about India at all. Their vapidity is astounding. India is so rich in material for movie-makers, and yet here we have, the pinnacle of Indian movie-making - nothing but a cardboard cut-out, an exploitative movie-star for audiences with pygmy-sized expectatations.

Happy Birthday AMIT JI
by Monish Nagpal on Oct 10, 2003 01:59 PM

On this occassion I take the opportunity to wish one of the Bollywood LEGEND AMIT JI. I remember someone saying about AMIT JI Personality in Totality. He is the only actor in Hindi Cinema who has made waves not only in India and abroad. He is the most down to earth person and he loves his parents very dearly and these top qualities make hime succeeed in life as he knows that he is firmly grounded despite the numero uno position he holds and that is going to remain forever. For others their ranking starts from number 2 onwards.I am a very humungus fan of Amit ji. I salute you Sir for making not only India but all Indians proud. Aint it a fact?

HAPPY BIRYTHDAY WISH U A VERY VERY LONG LIFE.
