King K
Acting and Stars
by King K on Oct 09, 2003 07:15 PM  | Hide replies

Yadav is no doubt a good actor. But what makes him a good actor is the fact that he can never be a Star. He does not have any restrictions in terms of what 'audiences think' if he acts like this or like that unlike in the case of Abhishek, Sunny Deol, Shah Rukh et al.
But when did bollywood last accept actors as stars??? Amitabh?

Yadav will be the next Nasiruddin shah. Ignored and ill-used.

Varma, as expected ever has given one more director who has full of desire and passion for making meaningful movies.
Coming to MMBCH , Rajpal is brilliant and antara is so good and matured as an Actress.

These comments are from a hard core Ram Gopal Varma follower...

Don't go the way
by CKD on Oct 09, 2003 06:12 PM

Kudos to VCL and Entertainment one to come out with such a offbeat likeable product. All the best wishes to Rajpal Yaday, A. Mali and C.Arora.

I hope RY will leverage his current strength and do more and more better roles in the future and not to go the way another exceptionally brilliant actor Raghuvir Yadav has

Puneet Mahajan

What a mature movie. Wish there were more like this one unlike the Andaaz, Hero, MPKDH that we have to bear every day. Rajpal Yadav is stupendous and I think Antara Mali has followed her part to perfection. Your review is a little too harsh on her. All in all a MUST SEE movie. Worth every rupee that I paid the multiplex.

This is a welcome for movies with substance
by Ritesh on Oct 09, 2003 04:39 PM

Audience has matured over time and started accepting
movies with substance. Yadav, no doubt, is a huge
talent and this not the first movie, which reflects
his prowess. His performance in Jungle was brilliant
and class unmatched. And i feel its inappropriate to compare him with Abhishek, both are different personalities and Yadav being so much high in terms of
acting talent just can't be compared with Abhishek.

Sandeep Chatterjee
Rajpal Yadav
by Sandeep Chatterjee on Oct 09, 2003 03:48 PM

In an era where over rated "superstars" and over acting starlets populate the film industry, Rajpal Yadav is a fresh breeze. He has managed to keep up his performance from the extremes of being a villain in Jungle to the laugh riot of Hungama and now in a meatier role in this movie.
