i think rather than reviewing the movie and telling us abt it in more detail than she has given.. mohua is trying to show off her english and nothing else. rather than using simple words and expressing her feelings after watching the movie she is just trying to show how much of the english dictinary and thesaurus she has been able to memorise. i not being a bengali wont be able to see the original movie thus would have liked to know abt it than know how much of eng mohua knows. hopeless case. rediff will never realize the diffrence b/w good and bad .
ash is not a godess.there are many more beautiful women.I think that these men have a passion for her and treat her as a delicate flower.stop stupid stuff and write that really means worthy for a news worthy Indian.
If Rabindranath Tagore were alive,I I am sure he will give the best accolades to Aishwarya Rai.Having seen the film it is just fantastic and will be etched in the memory of many. Venkatraman

Aishwarya rai was only chosen for her beauty and universal reputation...other than that she cannot act. If you read Tagore's actual work , i.e. the actual text of Chokher Bali, you would have had a completely different interpretation of Binodini's character than what rai has portrayed....and this has nothing to do with the director's instructions...it's got to do with an actress' in-depth understanding of a character, which is lacking in rai.

hi, i as a matter of fact completely disagree to your claim regarding aishwarya's potrayal.what i personally feel is that there are many great and talented actresses in our country but this particular lady was chosen just for her looks and popularity, which given by us is solely benefitting her and keeping other talented actresses in shadows.i feel it is completely unjust.thanks for reading and sorry to hurt your feelings
Ritu is a master film maker.I have seen almost all his movies, Shubho Mahurat pending, and find him just near perfect.Best part is his detailing, understanding of the character and treatment of human relationships in a totally new manner. His gets so deep into each and every character, that he extracts the most one actor/actress has to offer, maybe extracts more out of them.He in command, even a so-called "commercial" actor would produce a steller performance....I am just longing to see this movie nad also Shubho Mahurat.... Lastly, Tagore-Ritu-Ash....insn't it a timelessly wonderful combination???
sir forget the complex script, your review is too complex to read, not that ppl donno english but doesnt mean they have to know dictionary by heart.......got me???????? when there are simpler ways to express things y go the other way round????????

Absolutely correct ..... Try improving your own vocabulary, rather than trying to downgrade the impeccable literary skills of others ...

Madam Shweta, Improving your vocabulary would be a good idea ! Unless ofcourse you want all written material on the internet to cater to the vocabulary and intellect of a nursery kid.
A great reivew ny Mahoa Mitra. Very well-written and thought provoking. I am surely going to try and catch the film!
