I am amazed to see that Rediff's review for "Jaanasheen" was not as bad as the film was and the only reason I can see is the film's story is written by ex-rediff editor Suparn Verma.
On one had rediff washes away one of the most hilaring movies of the year "Hungama" with it's bad review and on the other hand they give a average review for "Jaanasheen" that deserve negative stars.
I went to see Janasheen with a lot of expectations in my heart, and i surely was not disappointed. The movie was as good as i had percieved it to be. What brilliant performances by Feroz Khan , Fardeen Khan, and Celina Jaitley. I think this should rate as the best movie made by Feroz Khan, closely followed by another blockbuster superhit of his, Yalgaar, and of course how can one forget Fardeen's masterly performance in Prem Aggan. Feroz Khan as the bald [with shining pate] afghan is simply terrific in his role. His ensemble is also so glaring and eye catch and his turbans r quite splendid. The way he offers namaz is another milestone of the film; rarely would anyone have seen a person offering namaz in such a fashion. A point not to be missed here is, when Khan offers namaz his pet tiger [who i guess is also a devout muslim] is also seen offering his prayers. Also to be noted are Khan's expressions which leave the viewer quite flabbergasted as to whether he is happy or sad.Khan also very cleverly uses terms as "bakhuda", "marhaba" and "wallah" quite often to show us his prowess in islamic expressions. Fardeen's dance is his underwear is also very entertaining and deserves encore.
I think Janasheen should not be only watched for style. It has loads of good perfomances by Feroz Khan and Fardeen.Celina also does a good job.I Think Reviewer is simply blind...Feroz Khan JANASHEEN is electriying!!
