Just saw Mr. & Mrs. Iyer last Thursday night. WOW!!
Sat through a Tony Bennett concert at the Hollywood bowl dazed with visions of Rahul Friday night. Forgot to pick up laundry Saturday due to a second viewing. Drove out and dragged over a friend majoring in cinematography at UCLA for a 3rd viewing on Sunday and totally ignored his various unnecessary comments re audio discrepancies and etc. Instead, addressed the quiet-confidence in Rahuls gaze, the slow-smile and the way it reaches his eyes, the way his muscles tense up like a DeSica character, ....
Monday back at work, had to explain whos that on my wallpaper.... still working on the screen-saver.
Wonderful movie. I really enjoyed watching the movie. I had a wrong notion that Rahul Bose is a frivolous person acting in stupid movies like "Split Wide Open", But by directing a movie like this, he has proved that he is one of the original and intelligent directors. Kudos introducing the ZEN principles into storyline without the effect of PREACHING. Keep it up Rahul.
