The Death of this Great Comedian Mehmood is reflecting the termination of an indian movie Comedy zone... Such hi to hey...Mehmood Mara Nahin...Mehmood Marte Nahin...He will alwayz remain alive in the smiles of billions people laughing at his movie dialogues...
Comedy King Mahmood has gone physically but shall always be renembered by we people who have seen his films and admired him. People of todays generation fail to understand as to what comedy is. Today films do not have that standard comedy as was seen in our days. Laughter used to come to the cinemagoer on its own. Today laughter is thrust upon. Comedians make faces, act vulgarily, with cheap dialogues. You can very well see Shakti Kapoor. See how Johny Lever makes faces just to inject laughter into th viewer. May His Soul Rest In Peace.
As Amitabh Bachan has rightly said Mahmood Sahab was the coolest in front of the camera. He made so many movies memorable, gave south Indian's hindi a new dimension and made the hero looks like zero in his films. May Allah bless his soul. Amen.
I think mahmood is badshah of comedy. I think there is no actor who can match his standards in comedy he is the truly the best comedian to grace indian cinema.

Mehmood not the comedian not the person but the actor himself had a great power of performing and becoming anyone and he was and still is the best no one can outwitt what he did in Padosan ............Hence he is to be remembered as he isnt.... but is among us .
Mahmood-bhaiyya has left his indelible footprints on the sands of Hindi Comedy/Cinema. I've thoroughly enjoyed his variety of portrayals on celluloid. He had a subtle message hidden behind each role. Despite going through sorrow - in some patches of his life - he managed to smile at life's foibles and brought joy and laughter into the lives of people who saw his films. Rest in peace Mahmood-bhaiyya - your 72 years on this planet will always be remembered for posterity...... =Satish Kelkar=
