For years, I'd been wondering why it was that i had developed some kind of an aversion to Hindi films. And Now I know why. Earlier the films were made by completely creative souls and talents. Now people have cashed in on being just technical. And whenthat happens you lose the soul from the movie, and all the is left behing is a terribly insane collection of sights, sounds and wierd costumes and make up. Unless people leran to connect with the characters, nothing much happens. Another point I'd like to discuss is how the " STARS " lack commitment. and at this point let me make mysrlf clear that commitment doesn't mean waking up and working at 3 in the morning till late night. It just means hoew you stop to consider yourself as a part of the whole package. When Hrithik Rosan was asked about hhs films that faild misearbly, I am ashamed that he didn't have the guts to say that his work could be one of the reasons. Ironically , which anyone who saw the movies would swear on. And the ohter thing they must ban is the line mouthed so frequently..." The character I play in the movie is so different.." Why is that none who watched these movies feel the same. It's just the same old Crap.

hritik.....
by aditi on May 12, 2003 06:16 AM

Hritik is being given unwanted attention. He is just a one time hit actor nothing else like Kumar Gaurav and many others. Looking at the promos of MPKDH it's a wonder how much we have to bear of this guy. He seems straight out of some wrestling federation club with his muscles and physique. Agreed girls like men with a great physique but Hritik has overdone it. In his first film he looked naive and charming guy next door. Now he looks like one of those WWF champs showing off his body, besides his clothes are atrocious. I was once a huge Hritik fan and I still like the movie KNPH but not anymore. It'll be a real effort to drag me to a Hritik movie.

Not at all.

U can get people having the style as of Hritik everywhere...on each sqaure of a city. All those chapris can act and look like Hritik Roshan. Basically Hritik has a very common looks and a very common style...that's the problem. Suraj Barjatya has made a mistake (according to me)...lets see...

I bet, htis film won't work after the first few weeks that too bcoz of the results of his (Suraj) earlier films...

The charm, the decency, an effect of being special & many things that r really needed for a typical Barjatyas film's "Prem" is not at all there in Hritik Roshan. That can only be handled by Salman Khan. The reality is that you will never get a decent & sober look on Hritik's face because his face does not have those qualities at all. From his past acts, I think Hritik doesn't have a sense of carrying him in a different way that is needed by Suraj's film's "Prem". That high cultured family ethics & all the Indian traditions followed by that family can not be done by Hritik (he tried it in KKKG....and failed). Actually, his face doesn't suit the character at all...I don't know why Suraj has opted to go for Hritik. He shud have taken Salman, he is the proper match. He has that Charisma, that tact of handling those kind of roles...that lovely style of being a absolute higly cultured family son (of Alok nath & Rima Lagoo) with all the good things...his face & act suits the role perfectly. And the dances that r needed for a Suraj's film can be handled by Salman only. As usual, Hritik will have all those same & old steps from his dancing books. Man, Suraj has made a Blunder for sure.

Salman

I agree with the view that Salman is the only actor who can carry on his shoulders with ease such a role. Hritik is a one film wonder and horsefaced. He looks same in all movies. This film should have had Salman, Madhuri(though I agree she is a bit mature for Abhishek). Kareena is another ugly face whose reputation(!!!) is only for snobbishness and not for her acting skills.
