Very good film Sir. Hats off indeed!

Dear Menon,

No one portrayed a police officers role as effectively as this. Surya perfectly suited the role and conversely he should be thankful you for bringing out the best in him. I, personally not a movie watcher because I feel that the subject is really of not good quality. But I would love to watch anything like Kaaka kaaka, if things are of that quality.

Gautam sir,
Kudos and Hats off to you.You know you have proved that Mallu's(Are'nt u one??) are excellent filmmakers!!!!!Most of the tamil Movies of recent times either are cheap commercial ones or they show woman as dumb creatures with no sense of individuality!!!You have shown who women are.Your treatment of love was so mature and sensous without any vulgarity or indecency.I never liked your first film Minnale b'coz i thought that it was STUPID .But you have won this time with this movie Kakka Kakka .
My only favourite directors were Mani Ratnam and Steven Speilberg ,but know u r also one.

esha

a ''freshers'' view
by madhu r nair on Aug 19, 2003 10:08 PM

i have seen a lots of promos that somehow manage to make a dreary movie look passable.and that was what i expected when i went to KK.and i must admit it was a very good movie. after a long time.after all the crap that is being thrown into our faces(like our vijaykaanth's no-mercy-tamilian-faultless-hero and our hindi movies)atlast here is a movie that is minus all the unwanted melodrama and glycerine.and yet powerful.the movie looks good.i think its mainly because its realistic.

on surya and jyothika.they look neat and healthy(yes clean..what with everyone nowadays wearing impracticable dresses).the characters stick to realistic dialogues.short and practical as in real life.

the only mistake i feel gautam menon made was when surya in the end confronts pandya(who is also surprisingly well portrayed) and gang all alone without his team.a movie thus far evolved along the lines of true police procedures could have atleast shown his to be accompanied by someothers too(and maybe for melodrama and histrionics killed them and then surya bashes up the villains all alone).

thanks GM for a real good movie.and please do not remake or let others remake this good movie into hindi.

Maddy vs. Vivek
by mister on Apr 10, 2003 05:51 AM

Madhavan is certainly better thatn Vivek in terms of his emoting abilities and acting prowess. Vivek is more suited to lover - boy roles. Madhavan has a more mature approach to acting and thus can portray a multititude of characters.

great movie
by abraham on Apr 09, 2003 01:23 AM

I agree with Mr Gautam. Bollywood sucks because they either copy or do a bad job. 1% suceeds and thats a bloody fluke.
Guys like Gautam should be allowed to do their job and producers shouldnt interfere. In Chennai I guess this doesnt happened.
Hey Gautam stick to Chennai or even try hollywood...bollywood is not guys like you...
