Apara Mehta's comment
by JOLLYGOOD on Mar 14, 2003 09:03 PM

You know someone should tell Apara Mehta that playing different roles helps to shape and structure the image of an actress or an actor. It's all part of the profession and sometimes shedding inhibitions helps the actor or actress grow and develop in many ways. I found her comment about not wanting to wear a white patch because it will make her look older to be very vain and shallow frankly.

You know if the entire Bollywood scene is about staying young, looking young, doing only young roles, then bollywood should pack it up and call it quits, because it is doing a dis-service to the very idea of experimenting and taking risks in making films. Filmmakers and actors should try and learn about methodology and how to think about making films from well known and respected Hollywood and independent filmmakers for a change and stop copying and aping because thinking beyond Switzerland and all of its trees calls for using some brain power. I went off tangent here, but I believe I made two points very clear.
