Kachche Dhaage was a success...

Why don't you check your facts before writing. The film wasn't a big hit, but it was a Hit in Mumbai and Average to Above Average all over India.

who gives a gooddamn . for the original , better version of all these movies - visit your nearest blockbuster or subscribe to netflix .

why cant we create original ideas and stories ? maybe 'cos the public will label it as an art film .

anyways , good luck sitting thru 2.5 hours of verbal diarrhea and copied situation and scenes.

kachche daage was not a box office failure it was a hit. it did deal with arms dealing but not to deeply the story is about two brothers. also sarfarosh was a film based on arms dealing and terrorism and was a hit

It was Sarfarosh, not Kachchhe Dhaage
by Apu on Mar 14, 2003 11:52 AM

It was John Mathew Mathan's film 'Sarfarosh' which actually showed arms being smuggled into India accross the border, and the film, as we all know, was a success.
Hence, the statement that Milan Luthria's film 'Kachchhe Dhaage' showed arms being smuggled into India accross the border and its dismal performance at the box office stopped other directors from tackling the same theme, is wrong and misleading.

how about sarfarosh which had a resounding success ? that was the first movie to throw unnecessary caution to wind and openly name the conspirator pakistan.

Anyways, way to go for Bollywood - what else other than India's most popular media to hghlight one of India's gravest problems.
